The HCC St. Moritz is celebrated for its prime location and the friendliness of its staff, with guests often highlighting the comfort and size of its rooms.
However, there have been some reports of service inconsistencies and issues with noise, temperature control, and occasional lapses in cleanliness. While the atmosphere is generally applauded, and the hotel is recognized for maintaining high cleanliness standards, opinions on value and missing amenities like kettles and adaptors are mixed.

We enjoyed our stay at the HCC St Moritz and would recommend the hotel to other travelers to Barcelona. We found the location ideal for walking to the sites we intended to see, the area safe as well as the key card necessary to use the elevator. The staff was kind and helpful and the rooms clean. The only recommendation would to be to have coffee/tea in the room or offer it complimentary in the restaurant.

I thought it was the best hotel I stayed in while travelling in Europe. It was also very helpful to have a street lined with many shops, a location close to tourist attractions, a comfortable sleeping area with highly light-shielded curtains, and slippers. And most of all, breakfast is delicious. The Spanish omelette or tortilla, I guess, was delicious and I ate a lot from the morning. The salmon is also delicious and the olive oil goes very well with it. Overall, I think it is a very good hotel. If I ever came back to Barcelona, I wanted to stay again.

Owing to the HCC Montblanc being closed due to the pandemic, my booking was transferred to their sister hotel, the HCC St. Moritz which is in an excellent location right off Passeig de Grà cia and a short walk from the aerobus stop in Plaça de Catalunya.
First impressions were very good, Carrer de la Diputació is a quiet street so it is very peaceful even though you are in the middle of Barcelona, The hotel lobby is spacious and welcoming. Arrived early and checking in was not a problem and allocated a room on the 3rd floor overlooking the El Nacional complex of bars and restaurants and neighboring apartments. The room was very spacious and airy, nice big comfortable bed. The AC worked very well and easy to use , just turn to dial from 1 to 2 or 3 also the windows opened – wow !! Slept very well and did not hear a thing all night even though I was in the middle of the city !
Nice seating area and complimentary bottle of water was a nice touch, fully stocked mini-bar should you feel the urge. Plenty of wardrobe and storage space for your clothes and suitcase/backpack. Wifi was easy to connect to and reconnected once you came back into the hotel no issues.
Bathroom was a good size and it had a tub which is always good to relax in after hitting the streets. Everything was spotlessly clean and sanitized. Lots of markers in the common areas for social distance and only 2 persons in the lift right now, you also had to tap your room keycard to go up or down , another good security feature.
Welcome glass of cava in the bar between 9 – 10 each evening was appreciated. All of the staff were helpful and friendly and happy to assist with an umbrella when a freak thunderstorm hit as about to leave the hotel for the night !
Breakfast was table service so it was a little slow as there was only 2 servers in the breakfast room looking after everybody. The eggs cooked to order served with bacon were very good as was my cheese and ham omelet. I appreciate they are taking precautions but most hotels do allow you to help yourself and use either tongs or plastic gloves and of course you are always wearing a mask while you move around. Hopefully it will revert back soon to buffet style and ease the burden on the overworked servers .
The location is second to none, right in the middle of everything, lots of shops , bars and restaurants nearby plus very handy for the metro and buses. I enjoyed my stay here and thoroughly recommend Hotel St. Moritz..

Thank you very much for your fantastic rating and detailed explanations. Regarding the buffet service, despite being more laborious for us, we consider that it is the best option to preserve the safety of our customers and in turn of our staff. Hopefully soon we can offer the buffet as we know it. Thanks for your opinion. We hope to see you again. Kind regards,

The HCC St. Moritz 4* Hotel is unfortunately a 2* hotel in our eyes. The location of the hotel is very central. On arrival we were already received by a receptionist very unfriendly.
Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience with all the staff we had contact with. It seems that polite manners are rather ignored. When you entered the dining room you were not greeted politely, but only very impersonally asked for the room number. A good morning to greet you did not get. The breakfast buffet was unkindly arranged the offered food made us feel that some food is already there from the day before. The bread and rolls on offer were already very stale and dried up. Our summary for this hotel is, very unfriendly staff in all areas and the food offered at the breakfast buffet are only recommended to a very limited extent. The price performance ratio is very expandable in our view. Overall, we give the hotel the grade poor.

I'd give the location and structure an almost full ten. Restaurants, public transport and clubs just a few steps from the hotel. The structure is very nice, large rooms and comfortable beds, the only flaw for me the lack of kettle in the room. Staff at reception vote 4: not at all welcoming, always strange, they did not give us any kind of welcome or willingness to give us advice or directions. Meeting a girl at the front desk on the door the three of us entered did not even say hello. Due to a sudden flu, a thermometer and room service were necessary: to forget, they were really rude. Breakfast is just enough for a 4 star, variety and modest product quality.

Since I was a student, I have traveled a lot freely, many of which had one or two stars, or at best three stars, so it is safe to say that I have never been to a hotel so pleasant. It was also eco-friendly, with pleasant amenities and philosophy. Breakfast changed little by little and I never got tired of it, so I could eat it deliciously. I don't usually eat breakfast, but I had a good morning. Perhaps in the process of remembering Japanese, the lady at the front desk also greeted us in Japanese. I was very impressed. The location is close to the subway station and the main tourist attractions can be reached on foot. I think the location is good. It was a hotel I could recommend to others.

The hotel is in a very good location, so you can get anywhere quickly on foot or by public transport. We were here for sightseeing and it was perfect for that. The beds were very comfortable, I have rarely slept so well in a strange bed. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast had something for everyone, but the eggs tasted awful. The service was very friendly and competent. Unfortunately a bit expensive, but that applies to all hotels in Barcelona. If I were to come to the city again, I would stay here again.

As part of the Globus tour group, it was a bit disappointing that the hotel didn't have all the cardkeys for the rooms ready to give to our tour guide at once. This process wasted too much of our limited precious time in Barcelona. There were no ramps to wheel our luggage into and out of the hotel entrance. That was an inconvenience as we had to drag the luggage through the front steps. Also, we didn't feel welcomed by the hotel staff as they seemed angry and rushing us. We felt when we went to eat breakfast that the man that was wiping the tables down was watching everyone like a hawk but didn't greet and welcome the hotel guests with a good morning or some sort of welcoming words.
Every other hotel we stood in during the tour, had the room keys ready and gave them to our tour guide who in return immediately distributed them to us. After a long bus ride, we the guests would like to get to our rooms right away to unwind a bit.
On a positive note, the proximity of the hotel to the main tourist attractions was nice.

Thank you for you point of view. I apologize for any inconvenience during your stay. The entrance has stairs but you have hired a porter service. And we can also help you with the smallest suitcases. The arrival of the group was around 12:30 p.m., which coincides with 12:00 p.m., which is the check-out time. So we may not have all the rooms at that time if the hotel has been full the day before. I am sorry. Best regards.

This hotel was absolutely a 5-star hotel when compared to hotels that we stayed in in the states. The breakfast was a little overpriced but provided a nice spread. I would make a suggestion to fix the shower to avoid water on the floor.

Dear customer, Thank you for your feedback! We are delighted to hear that you consider our hotel to be 5-star compared to those you’ve stayed at in the States. We're glad you enjoyed the breakfast, though we appreciate your note about the pricing. Your suggestion to fix the shower to prevent water on the floor is valuable, and we'll certainly look into it. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future! Best regards.

Warm welcome, close to everything, room and comfortable bed. Not much product for the body, only shampoo and shower gel combined. some room have small safe that does not accept cell phones. Some have anti-fog mirrors in the bathroom, much appreciated. Lunch is good, but the location of the coffee machine blocks the entrance. Did two stays and both went well. I recommend it.
