The hostel is very simple but lovely. The staff is very kind and gentle, I spent 4 great days there. I get there late in the night, but there was no problem. The customers were very nice too. The hotel is between the Cathedral and the Saint Mary's Church, just a few meters from the metro station "Jaume I". Enjoy!!!

Dirty, noisy, uncomfortable, unpleasant overall. Wifi didn't work even once during our stay. Rooms: I was convinced to book here mainly on the hostel's own descriptions and photos of how private the dorm rooms are, with separate cubicles and curtains for your beds. Well, that is NOT what we got - our dorm room contained the typical creaky ancient metal...

I traveled with 6 friends. We couldn't ask for a better location, in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, close to the metro, walking distance to the beach. Rooms are confortable and big enough. Even being in the upper bed is nice, because its not bunkbeds, it's like a second floor (with your matress, night table, space for your stuff)....

The location is perfect, is possible to do everything just walking! This hostel is nice if you are alone and want to meet people and if you don't looking for luxury and calm place! If you are traveling for fun I recommend! The breakfast is very simple but has a good price, $2 euros!

I genuinely want to give this place a great review because it is a fantastic hostel and is in a great location, however, I can't simply because of the wifi. I travel a lot, and I can't exactly afford an international phone plan so I rely on the wifi at wherever I am staying so that I can plan my...

Stayed here at the end of January in a female only dorm. Weirdest beds ever. My friend and I we're basically sleeping on a giant shelf with a mattress on it and the ladder up to it was quite hard to climb and quite dangerous in my opinion. It had a weird atmosphere and I really was not impressed with...

I've used hostels a lot over the last 5 years, and have never experienced feeling uncomfortable as a woman in a mixed dorm before. Unfortunately, this time my friend and I were the only women in a room of men who would openly catcall us around the hostel, and there was a lot of winking. Whilst there aren't automatically blankets,...

The experience in this hostel was not like other hostels I've stayed in. When asking for advice around the city, places to eat or see etc. We were barely helped at all. Upon entering and leaving there was never a hello or goodbye said. We didn't not feel welcomed at all. There are also no activities to get to know...

I was pretty loud. Through the floor I could hear the people in the community room. I liked that there were curtains to shut your bunk. Seemed old and dirty though, some things were dusty. Pillows were weird and uncomfortable.

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
