The hotel is in the very centre - on the corner of Plaza Catalunia and La Rambla. Everything is at your hand, including the place from which all tourist buses start and airport express is also here. All nice restaurants and shops are in the neighbourhood. The rooms are small as the hotel is in the historic building but everything...

Worst place in town. Totally outdated rooms. Dirty, uncomfortable. Definitely not worth the money. Look for any other place to stay. This cannot even be called a hotel. The only lift has capacity for just two people. Mind blowing place.

Great place for a base in barcelona. Its right at the top of las rambles which is the buzz of the city for shops and markets. The hotel boosts an 8 euro breakfast. Run away. The hotel is clean but needs modernisation. The beds are really hard and one pillow and one towel. No english speaking tv channels. Tip of...

I found the room dated and very cold. You could not regulate the heating system. Wi fi access was simply not available at any time and the staff did not care. Night staff realy unprofessional. Some noise during the night. Location was good though.

The only good thing about this hotel is its location at the top of Las Ramblas. Otherwise the rooms were small and out of date. Beds were hard. Walls must be thin because you can hear everything going on in the hallway. The wifi never actually worked in our room. I asked the front desk for help and they were...

Hotel Medium Monegal is located in an excellent location across from Placa Cataluyna and is within walking distance to restaurants, public transportation and tour buses. However, the room in this hotel was very small with a 2x3ft window. The walls in this room are so thin that I was able to hear everything in the room next to me and...

You can see the Ramblas from your room !!! With just opening the balcony's door you'll see what is happening in the most fun part of Barcelona. You have a Mc Donalds on your right hand and a Zara on the left one. You are just at 5 minutes walk form the Boqueria market. What else you want ??? Its...

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
