Stayed here for a week in Barcelona. Found the location to be descent, although found it to be a slightly sketchy area. But always travelled with a friend and paid close attention to our personal belongings, and had no problems.

Good localization: near the subway, the Bairro Gõtico, the Las Ramblas. You just have to be careful with bags and personal stuff in this neighborhood because is a very turistic place and the pickpockets are all around. But the hostel itself is safe.
The hostel is central located, so if you're good with maps, you can go half of the ways by food! But the Metro isn't far away eather.
