Wonderful historic building, perfect location for sights, shopping and dining. Rooms were very comfortable with lovely bathrooms, very quiet as well, staff was ultra friendly and helpful. The breakfast is amazing, but pricey, bar area is fun and warm, worth a visit although meals and drinks also on the expensive side.

We do not understand the comment of the member here below. At the check-in we had a wonderfull welcoming by the concierge then a dutch speaking staff member took us to the room explaining the services of the hotel . We received a room upgrade to a lovely room overlooking the boulevard with a super bathroom and wonderfull smelling toiletries....

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights at the Casa Fuster. The historic building is true to the Modernist Style that Barcelona is famous for and the location at the highest point on the Passeig de Gracia provides great views, especially from the rooftop terrace. Our room was a little on the small side, but well appointed and very comfortable. We...

We stayed at the five star Casa Fuster as part of a cruise deal for just one evening so cannot comment on the room rate pricing. The hotel is well placed and a fabulous building. The public rooms are Gaudi –esque. If you are a fan of the fantastic Catalan genius be sure to take a look at the wonderful...

Being a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, we had high experiences for this hotel but frankly we were disappointed on every count. OK, the exterior and public areas give the appearance of grandeur but this is nothing more than a veneer when you step beyond. Starting with the check-in process, whilst functional, the staff did nothing at...

Great hotel. The staff was great and the location is also great. We enjoyed our stay and our wifi worked fine in our room. We were able to walk to all the places we were interested in seeing in the city.

The property is a beautiful landmarked building in a wonderful part of the city. The property was originally built in the early 20th century as a private home with apartments. When they renovated the property into a hotel there were many elements of the original architecture that needed to be left untouched due to its historical nature. This left the...

Great location. Many local sights are within walking distance. Metro is easy to understand and can get you anywhere. Interesting building. Very professional and helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. Can be a bit noisy at night. Some problems with WiFi in the room. Good restaurant. I would return.

What a beautiful little hotel! The rooms were very nice with wonderful bedding, great shower, and quiet. The staff were over-the-top in service and friendliness. They could not have been more attentive. Although breakfast is not included, the brunch is truly terrific. We were looking for a lighter breakfast other mornings and found the "coffee shop" right outside the hotel...

Staying in Gracia

Neighbourhood Profile
Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theatre that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located in the heart of Barcelona, on Passeig de Gràcia, this genuine gem designed by the Catalan architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner symbolises the spirit of modernism in its maximum capacity. Hotel Casa Fuster has traditionally been a meeting point for guests, artists, intellectuals and locals who look for a quiet and unique place for business or pleasure. The superior terrace with swimming pool has become a unique lookout point above the whole Passeig de Gràcia, the Mediterranean Sea, the Tibidabo mountain and the Sagrada Familia. It also has a reading room that is perfect to relax while enjoying a good book. As a Monument Building, Hotel Casa Fuster has the moral obligation to preserve this historic site. With the much awaited approval of the city of Barcelona, we have started the heritage conservation tasks in order to preserve the façade of this iconic hotel, built by the famous architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner. This work will take place by dividing the building into sections, and will only affect the outside of the building. This division will insure the preservation works will be focused on a certain area of the property at one time, so the other areas will remain completely operative and functioning to their usual capacity. These tasks will maintain the beauty of this delicate white marble building and guarantee its splendor for many years to come. ... more   less
