This hotel is in a great location. Across the road from the Metro and close to La Rambla, therefore easy to walk to many points of interest and through the old town, Gothic quarter. The rooms are clean and neat, although would seem in need of renovation. Everything worked and the staff were friendly and helpful. This is a basic...

As mentioned on Trip advisor Great location, this hotel has nothing else going for it. Felt like a dormitory or back at Uni in school rooms, if you want a bit of luxury, this is not for you. Very basic hotel and for people on a shoe string budget, really needs upgrading and do not stay here if you like...

The best thing are the afordable prices and the great location near La Rambla. The rooms are big enough and clean, the staff is great, hospitable and helpfull. The offside is the breakfast which is more then modest. I recommend it if you are on the budget.

I had a double room for single use with breakfast. Room was clean, big bed, spotless bathroom. Very helpful and friendly reception staff- they know the "secrets" of the city, they will provide maps and do everything they can to make your visit pleasant. For me breakfast was enough- coffee (and hot milk); tea; toast; butter; jam; fresh fruits; yogurt;...

Hotel is located right in the heart of the city centre, within few minutes walking distance from Placa de Catalunya, really good value. It's a perfect stop over for tourists. Room was spotlessly clean and was serviced every day. We had an issue at first night, there was a really bad smell in the bathroom (room J on 6th floor),...

This hotel is near the Placa Catalunya so being by the main square is the only good thing about this hotel. The room is tiny, smelly, not aired out before guests arrive, staff unfriendly, shower doesn't work, lol, drips out water in little drops so you cannot shower, the bed spread was old and moldy. The balcony is so small,...

I stayed two days in Marvi and I really loved it. Very convenient to reach airport by bus, good to visit famous spots and nice for shopping. Rooms were very clean and reception staffs were pretty kind. I was satisfied hotel marvi and if I visit Barcelona again, I would stay there.

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
