If you are looking for something different, but not different just to be different, this is the place to stay. It's in a great location, a block from the Ramblas, but on a quiet street so no traffic noise. The rooms re quirky, but the things that need to be right are excellent! The bed, pillows, and the water pressure...

very nice people. Different from other hotels in that you have two rooms separated by a hall: one is a living room and one is a sleeping and bathroom. The living room furniture was sort of IKEA-esque and moderately comfy. The beds were comfortable and bathroom was nice. Big pluses: the fabulous location. We took Aerobus and walked to hotel...

Love this spot in Barcelona. It is perfectly located close to Las Ramblas (but not on top of with the noise), filled with charm and personality, and the staff is delightful - friendly and super helpful. Our room was perfect with lovely window over the bathroom facing a wall (5 stories high) of large, potted plants. Plus, our room came...

Read all the glowing reviews so I decided to book this hotel. So glad I did. Everything you read is true. The super friendly staff, clean modern rooms, great location and all-day snacks and breakfast. Plus there is a great rooftop terrace. It's also just a short walk to the Aerobus stop.

We stayed 4 nights at the hotel. Staff were fabulous. So friendly and welcoming. Great room with a hammock in the living room. Spacious bathroom. Very comfortable bed and lovely fresh linen. Lovely fluffy towels and decent sized bath towels. Very well located off La Rambla.

We stayed for a couple of nights (2 adults and a 3 year old). The staff were great and very welcoming and helpful. Weather was mixed. One OK day and one of rain - but the hotel has large umbrellas to borrow. The breakfast is plentiful and the chef cook to request (bacon, sausages and eggs one morning for our...

Centrally located with many excellent places to eat within a ten minute stroll, its two minutes from La Rambla and the very efficient easy to use metro, five minutes from the Aerobus drop off/pick up point and a ten minute stroll to the Gothic Quarter. Totally the perfect base for sight seeing. The hotel itself is down a typical narrow...

Good service, spatious rooms (with extra living rom!) and a perfect roof terrace. Enjoy breakfast with eggs coocked the way you like it. Good advice on restaurants from friendly staff. Expensive, maybe little overpriced.

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
