Great location, just 20 metres off La Rambla, near Liceu metro station. Got a quite big double room, with nice bathroom (shower in bathtub). The room was clean and plain, nothing special. Just the double bed with night tables, a small tv, a desk with a simple chair and a closet. But do you need anything else? Nice view to...

I have never travelled alone before, so I never gave it a thought of how it may influence on the roomsize ;-) From now on, i definitely stay in doublerooms! I was quite chocked when i saw my room, OMG it was small! Clean though, and kind of cosy in a spanish way, but small. Too small. When all that...

The staff were extremely friendly and the hotel was very well situated (30m from metro, 20 from las ramblas). However, the room was more reminiscent of a single in a hostel than a hotel- the tiles in the bathroom were cracked and mismatched. The furniture was all rickety and mismatched, and the bed had a distinctly camp/ dorm bed feel...

This is in such a good location, though initially a bit tricky to find especially when we were pulling our sutcases down rambles searching! Loved the location, and really made the most of our short stay by being so close into the action. There was internet access in the room, and the room was comfortable, the bathroom small but ok....

Last time I was in Barcelona was in 1995, and I didn't have to pay for a hotel. So I don't have any reference. The hotel is located in a street next to La Rambla and the Boqueria market. It's close to the Barrio Gotic and Borne. The places to shop, eat and party. Also not to far from the...

We stayed for 3 nights. Hostel has a perfect location. Just 15 metres las ramblas and 20 metres to metro station. But you won't need the metro:) You can go the main places by walk about 5-15 minutes. Stuff was friendly; can speak english. Rooms are acceptable and also clean. We stayed in the rooms at the 2,3 and 4...

I recently stayed at Hotel Ingles for two nights and found the hotel satisfactory (neither great, nor downright horrible). As other reviewers have mentioned, the location is absolutely ideal, though a bit hard to locate at first because of its position sandwiched between tapas bars on a tiny street. That being said, I didn't find the reception staff particularly helpful...

The rooms in this hotel are extremely basic, the Wi-Fi signal is a bit patchy on the 3rd and 4th floors and the lift can be noisy but you just can't fault the hotel for its location and the very reasonable rates. You are located very close to the Liceu Metro station on the Ramblas and the Placa Catalunya is...

other reviewers have mentioned problems with the wi-fi so perhaps we got lucky or this has been fixed. we stayed in room 307, 3rd floor out of 4, facing the back of a church. this particular room was fairly big, super quiet (no street noise), had excellent wi-fi connection, tv, and large balcony (which we used as a fridge since...

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
