The staff at this hotel were absolutely wonderful! Friendly and beyond helpful! The location meant tourist attractions, tapas and shopping were within minutes and it was clean! It's nor a high end hotel but we were treated like royalty!

Looking for a hotel room for 3 adults, This one came up at a good price and the rooftop pool enticed us into booking. The weather wasn't too warm and we were too busy sight-seeing to use the pool in the end. We had a peek up on the roof though - pool is small but lovely looking and a...

We stay at the Hotel for 3 nights, great location. Staff could not do enough for us - a special mention for Tome at reception and Carlos in the roof top bar! Within walking distance of Ciutat Park and Cathedral, also close to La Rambla.

Very nice surprise to have found this little gem of a hotel. Perfect location. Beautiful room with an awesome street view. Beautifully kept room with accommodating and friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Barcelona.

This is a nice little hotel in a great location close to tons of bars, shops and restaurants, walkable to the centre but away from the tourist crowds. Pros: Location. Large comfy beds. Free bottled water (they should really replace the stocked fridges with filtered tap water and ice dispensers from a sustainability point of view). Very nice roof terrace....

Great location in the gothic area, loads of places to eat and drink. Easy to get to the beach and to La Rambla and other touristy bits. Comfy room (terrible air con though, but not a problem in April), free bottles of water in fridges in the corridors, friendly staff, nice roof top area.

I chose this hotel primarily for location and was not disappointed. It is close to a metro station (which was easy to navigate) and within walking distance of all the top attractions. Most particularly it is just round the corner from the Picasso museum. The hotel staff were very polite and helpful, the roof terrace beautiful and guests get a...

This is our second trip to Barcelona and I wish we had known about this hotel the first time. A fantastic place to stay in a superb location in the Gothic quarter. Easy access to the marina and port area, minutes from Las Ramblas. In a narrow one way street you don't get too much trafffic to disturb you at...

Friendly helpful service, well located, good wifi, oh my word there's free water service! Clean rooms, helpful concierge, only problem is lack of bar service on roof terrace after 7pm - we would definitely recommend it !

Perfect location just off La Rambla in the gothic quarter. Accommodation clean and consisted of living room with sofa bed and a small room with 2 bunk beds and a double room. The area leading up to the room left a lot to be desired and the passages were dark and quite dingy but the room itself was perfect and...

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
