Stayed here just after Christmas. Very friendly and helpful staff. Looked for a room facing the street, to see the activity in the morning etc Yes it is noisy, but not enough to disturb our sleep when we closed the window. Internal rooms away from street obviously will be quieter Spotless clean, nice buffet breakfast to start and again helpful...

We last stayed in this hotel in May 2016 and returned for a weekend break in December. All the excellent features that we enjoyed in our first visit are still in evidence - clean comfortable room, good breakfast and very friendly and efficient reception personnel. This time, because we were staying over the weekend, the hotel suggested that a room...

We are a family of four with two kids, four and one year old. We stayed here for four nights, the stuff has been great, very helpful and friendly, our kids loved Albert and Ana was great too. The location is good, a couple of minutes away from Plaza Universitat and the metro stop. La Rambla is five to ten...

I stayed here for 4 nights for work (who book for me). I was pleased to see the location central but 5 mins from ramblas and close to a restaurant I really like. Hotel is simple ( no bar or restaurant but who needs this in central Barcelona). I am a light sleeper but I found it very very noisy....

I had some problems with the booking, they cancelled my reservation the day I was supposed to arrive, when I saw the e-mail I was in the airport. I sent a short e-mail that I'd come anyway. When I arrived the problem was solved, I got a room. My parents who had another reservation had to go to another hotel...

Stayed here for 3 nights. Staff was VERY friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK. Room was clean (no carpets), with perhaps as a downside that its window was "facing" a closed patio (undoubtedly this has the advantage that it is quite, because not facing the street), although nobody goes to Barcelona to stay in the room. Recommended. Would stay here...

Had a room facing the street. It can be loud and noisy if the windows are open but once closed, I don't hear any loud noise especially at night. Clean and spacious room. Only two power outlets available in room but one was broken. Informed front desk, no maintenance staff came to fix it until the day I checked out....

I would go there again. Easy to get everywhere, clean and modern. The front staff were very helpful. Historic area. We had to leave very early before they served breakfast but what was out looked good. The shower was wonderful.

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
