Very clean rooms, nice idea for the decoration, enough bath rooms even for common use. Old apartment building on a quiet street, anyway very central. Nice shops and small restaurants just there. Five minutes walk to the bigger streets.

Hotel Dragon fly was such a lovely little place to stay. We were only there for 2 nights. But it was so very worth it. From the moment we got there, it was very chilled and laid back. The entrance was a little hard to find and the small entrance door within the very large double doors was just too...

Although the entrance is a little bit hard to find (watch your head), everything else about this little hostel is wonderful! The only thing that makes this a hostel instead of a hotel is a shared bathroom but this was not a problem at all (some rooms have an ensuite). Very affordable, centrally located, lovely staff. Very much enjoyed our...

Stayed here with friends and had a great experience. Rooms were very clean and nicely decorated, as was the whole hostel. The aircon and wifi both worked well, and there was a little balcony to sit out on. The shower is in the room but there is a curtain and also other separate shower rooms/toilets if you'd prefer to use...

We found our room to be spacious and quiet. Is good location and only about 4min walk from metro. Reception very friendly on first floor. No lift so not good for anyone with accessibility issues or dread of carrying baggage upstairs. Wasnt clear how to get in as hostel name not on any of the buzzers so we just pressed...

On entry into the bedroom I thought they hadn't finished the floor but it seems that they had kept the original as an interesting feature. The rest of the room was really modern, clean and well appointed with a lovely en suite, comfortable beds, air con and a really efficient free wifi connection. It is well situated, close to the...

As with a lot of Hostals the entrance is not the greatest, but as with many Spanish Hostals, the rooms are much better than the outside. The hosts were welcoming and the room clean and tidy with comfortable clean beds. the room had been refurbished with a modern en suite shower and WC. The air conditioning works well and the...

This hostel is conveniently located to Barcelona Sants (main) train station, is a quaint old place with rooms that have comfortable beds, balconies to sit and enjoy the old city, shower and sink in room, free WiFi in room, 5 min walk to arc de triumph park, air-conditioned and very close to many dining options and activities.

The lady who seemed to be in charge was very friendly despite not speaking much (any?) English, and assigned us a comfortable twin room for the three nights we were there. It was very nicely located with cafes, restaurants, transport, attractions and the beach nearby. Only issue was that because of the old walls /windows, it was a bit noisy...

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
