If you're looking to be in the old city, this is the place to stay. It is a family-run hotel and the owner was very flexible with me about a late check-out. The room was clean when I arrived and everything was in order. If you are a light sleeper, bear in mind that this is 100 meters (if that)... More

Enjoyed a lovely weekend stay at this hotel while cycling in the countryside. I love history and the care with which the hotel is being restored is a testimony to the owner. My room had a queen bed that was very comfortable and the room itself was beautifully restored with quarry tile floors, timbered ceiling and stone walls, and a... More

This hotel is very well situated for a base for exploring all there is to do in Girona, and is very near some excellent restaurants. However the owner was not particularly friendly- he didn't seem interested, and was not very helpful when asked about parking, maps, or anything else really. It is also worth noting they are currently having extensive... More

My wife and I spent a week at the Hotel Historic during a cycling holiday and really enjoyed it. The owner is in the middle of an extensive expansion, which is being undertaken with great care to preserve the historical style. Our room was pleasant, not over-large but big enough and furnished simply but with appropriate style. There were no... More

Comfortable hotel in the heart of the old town, right by the Cathedral. Our superior room had a small outside sitting area, which was nice. Wonderful medieval building, full of interest. Slightly odd bathroom, not separated from the bedroom area in any way, and with no shower curtain so there is a wet floor every morning. And it would be... More

Lovely hotel. The host i very nice and so are the personnel. We had a lovely appartment for 5 people and it was spacious enough. Breakfast was very good - and the hotel is lovely situated next to the cathedral.

The family owns the Hotel believes in customer satisfaction to all needs. They go above and beyond expectations. We stayed there while riding bicycles for 7 days in the surrounding mountains. Each day we biked to a new city. We started in Hotel Historic and ended our ride in Hotel Historic. The countryside is beautiful. Good challenging ride. 40 to... More

Somehow when I made the reservation through Expedia I chose a 2 bedroom apartment rather than a hotel room. So glad I did. It was very spacious and clean. Well equipped even though all I made was coffee. It was nice to be able to spread our cheese, crackers and wine out on a table-we had a huge lunch and... More

The hotel is in a perfect location in old town Girona. We were excited when we arrived only to find a locked door. We buzzed several times. The owner seemed annoyed to have guests. It was 11 in the morning. He told us to come back at noon. We did. He grudgingly checked us in and showed us our room... More

This is a family-run hotel in the historic centre of Girona. Within steps of the Cathedral and Jewish quarter it's in a great location for exploring this interesting city. Run by two generations of the same family, nothing is too much trouble. The owner gave us lots of excellent advice - where to eat, what to see and which places... More
