Basic, but ok hotel. Warm and a bit noisy rooms. On the other hand, the balcony is very nice and you can also open the door here. We slept on the side of the road and were not bothered by the traffic. Bathroom was fine, but outdated. The pool was so dirty we didn't use it. There was also an extra fee for making use of beach towels (€20 deposit per towel + extra costs per day, very unfriendly). Fortunately, the beach is a 5-minutes walk. Aldi is located around the corner and within a 30 minutes walk you are at the theater and the ramblas. Free parking and enough parking space (maybe due to COVID?) in the street of the hotel.
The Hotel is great, aside for the fact that the walls are very thin and we could hear our neighbours flushing the toilet. It’s located in a very quite area with two shops nearby (ALDI and Mercadona), 5min walking from the beach. Poor breakfast and overpriced dinner. The room was very clean and the cleaner lady is very friendly. We travelled with a small cat and everything went well.
Only 15 minutes from Reus airport, easily accessible from main roads and just a 5 minute drive from old city centre. Plenty of on-street parking. Rooms were modern and clean and bed comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
Was the most expensive stopover on our trip to Spain but was arguably worth it. Handy parking outside on the street or you can pay to park under the hotel. Friendly receptionist and smooth check in. Dog friendly and handy for the beach. We had one pool/ sea view and one street view room. No argument about which is better if you like a view but we didn’t mind either way. Handy bar in the hotel and the evening meal was splendid. Breakfast really nice and varied. Would stay here again but only when there was a discount available.
So I went on to Trip Advisor to get recommendations about a hotel in Tarragona. I saw that at this hotel we could park on the street and it was safe. This was necessary because we had a car. The hotel is about a 20 min walk from the old city area. There is also a bus that runs from across the street to the downtown area. Get off at Casino stop. It is $1.50 Euros per person 1 way. The hotel was fine initially. However we get back from dinner downtown at 12:30 a.m and the hotel is locked. We were told there was someone at the desk 24 hours a day. We were actually locked out on a deserted street. We stood in the cold on the street for over 20 minutes. We rang the bell and no one came to unlock the door. We banged and rang and knocked and could not get into the hotel. There was no key access and no one answered the call button on the wall. Finally a man came out from inside the hotel and acted with utter indignation towards us, that we were somehow at the lobby door banging to get in to a place we paid to stay in. It appeared we were bothering him. The man was not apologetic or anything of the sort. It was horrible!! I am sure there are many other hotels that would like business and would not lock the door at 12:30 leaving their guests stranded on the street. Disgusted at this entire place!! Find another place more respectable and thankful for their guests.…
