San Martin Pinario was a great choice for visiting Santiago. Good clean accomodations literally across the street from the Cathedral... Santiago is such a nice place to visit and to walk its streets, and having the Hospederia so close was very convenient

An 'all about pilgrims' hotel, located just across Santiago's cathedral, San Martin Pinario provides a very confortable and welcoming environment to all visitors. The hotel building is a former monastery which you can easily sense by the minimalistic decor. If you're looking for luxuries this is not your best pick but if you look for a very clean and central... More

My wife and I walked the Camino Frances the fall of 2015. We arrived in Santiago on Oct 31, having successfully completed the 500 mile pilgrimage. We had reservations for two nights at San Martin Pinario. It was so nice to have a private room with private bath after spending 35 days hiking across Spain. The ambience of San Martin... More

This is a nice simple hotel with small rooms but immaculately clean. As advertised. The hotel is in an old building used as a seminary. The restaurant was great with inexpensive food, well prepared. We would stay here again.

We were looking to connect with friends we had met while walking the Camino and thought that this would be the place to do so. We liked the atmosphere s soon as we walked in. The rooms are pretty basic but all we needed except no WIFI on our floor. WIFI was sketchy in the lounge at times too but... More

Clean and good value for the single traveler and the weary pilgrim. Reception was very helpful indeed and professional. They couldn't have been more helpful. Very booked up but managed to get a room for the night. Book ahead as Santiago even in mid October is extremely busy with pilgrims and travelers alike.

I am rating the 12euro 3-course meal in the hostel restaurant that is open to the public. Our tour guide mentioned this place and my 80 year old mother and I tentatively sought it out. Note, we went twice. The first time they were 30 minutes late opening at 1.30 instead of 1 so wait by the menu which is... More

Stayed here in this beautiful building following 5 days walking on the Camino. The building is stunning and about 2 mins walk from the Cathedral. Its an old Monastery and it felt so in keeping with the walk we had just completed. There is a fabulous long walk from the front door, through the long corridors and cloisters to the... More

This hotel is right across from the cathedral exit , perfect location for exploring the old town in Santiago close to shops , bars, and restaurants. The hotel was once a monastery and has plenty of character. The dining room has a beautiful vaulted ceiling and the cloisters and small garden are great for relaxing in. The staff at reception... Whilst this hotel is visually very appealing, I honestly believe they use the tag of being a previous monastery, and subsequently keeping with the simple room theory, to their advantage. Considering the cost of a double room, to say they are very scarcely presented is an understatement. No tv (which didn't bother me in the least), no telephone, shocking wifi... More
