Little rest along the camino santiago. Really nice place, beautiful garden and super friendly staff. Room was shared 4 person room. I liked the "walk through" solution in the room. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks a lot!

This place has a few positives: Good location, nice breakfast, clean and has a lovely garden area out the back. However, I would never stay here again as I found the staff to be the rudest people I have ever encountered. Upon checking in, a younger, dark haired girl at reception (who was lovely) told me I could pay in... More

After walking to Santiago, a short break and then to Fisterra, I decided to spend more time in Santiago. Roots&Boots was already recommended by other peregrinos. The owner / staff is super friendly, flexible and helpful. A sincere bunch of warm people running a warm hostel. The facilities are brilliant, there's a salon, a big garden and the location/view is... More

Nice hostel located just outside the historical city centre of Santiago de Compostela. It has a nice garden that doubles as a kitchen. Bikes are more than welcome. Clean rooms. Nice living room to chill and hangout in. Showers are very small, which is a bit unhandy when trying to change and shower. I really have to squeeze in. Staff... More

Having been the second time staying in the hostel, I throughly enjoyed my stay. This hostel has a great location, great price and great service! With a garden and a bar you have the option of enjoying ice cold beer in the Santiago sun after completing your Camino, whilst chatting to a vibrant mix of people. This hostel is family... More

More

I walked to the end of town to find a place and when I got there I was completely exhausted. The owners and their staff were friendly welcoming, and accommodating. The rooms and common areas are clean and airy. There is even a whimsical garden in the back. It is like an oasis. I ended up staying there for a... More

I was due to stay in this hostel from 24th-27th July this year with a group of 6th form students from Wales who were on a cycling pilgrimage. Unfortunately we were unable to make it to Santiago as a few days before the end of our pilgrimage one of students tragically died and we had to fly back to Wales... More

We stayed here at the end of our camino. Location was fantastic -- close to the cathedral and even closer to a wonderful large park used by locals. Bed dorm space was a little tight, but there was a long narrow sun room just off the sleeping dorm that could be use to pack and unpack and leave the dorm... More

After completing the camino we looked for accommodation and came across Roots and Boots. The staff were rude, the beds are so close that you cannot even unpack your bag on the floor. Being a pilgrim, you know your bags cannot go on your bed. The place is filthy and bathroom was so bad that I left. They have one... More
