Although it is located approximately 1km outside of the old city, it is easy to get to and a pleasant walk. The Camino Portuguese runs very close to the Hotel which is located on the campus of the College in Santiage.de Compestela. The rooms are quite comfortable and welcoming, and breakfast is available in the morning. There is a washer...

We came just for 2 days and opt to stay 4 days. I think the place is run by the local catholic church. All the decoration and atmosphere is a religius one. All the ladies, nuns or not, that run the place and we had the priviledge to meet, were very nice and helpfull. Always with a smile and trying...

Stayed here for one night. Really interesting place. Beds were comfy. The room was clean. The bathroom was very surprised all. It was a walk from the centre of about 20 minutes. I loved the campus with the old building.

Delightful converted monastery. While the rooms were basic, the building and its gardens were lovely - we had our picnic lunch in the cloister gardens. Extremely quiet and a quiet location on the university's old campus. Good continental breakfast. Lots of free parking. Great location, just a short walk to the historic centre.

The room is very comfortable (especially the bed). The hospederia itself is quite special (a convent turned into a hostel). The host that I met was very nice plus her English was excellent. It was a pitty that the hospederia was not closer to the center (15-20min walk); and that the walls and doors were not soundproof.

Crashed here for one night with my girlfriend. It was very clean and the staff was very helpful. We had a little bit of a hard time finding the place but other than that it very reasonable and I would definitely stay here again.

There are plenty of reasonably priced accommodations in Santiago, but travelling on your own, you will often have to pay for a double room. At Via Lucis there are single rooms at an appropriate price, and if there are no single rooms left, you might even get a double for the price of a single room. So its cost-benefit ratio...

This place is in an old monastery building in the campus, and has a beautiful garden. The rooms reflect the old use of the place, they are simple and comfortable. The whole area is very quiet, the town centre is about 15 minutes walk only (through a nice park). The rooms have bathrooms too, small ones, but they are clean....

Visiting Santiago de Compostela University (USC) and having to return for a 2-week period later in November, I was told that this hostal could be a possibility. When I arrived, I’ve noticed it is a kind of “monastery hostal”. Not a problem at all. Ringing the bell, an elderly lady came and in a rush told me to enter by...

Everything I expected and more. Scrupulously clean' receptionist kind and amusing. Vendo machines in a dimly lit area - couldn't find how the snack machine worked so went to bed hungry! I was given 4 keys in case I got back very late..but luckily not needed. No food available nearby. It was Very peaceful and quiet. Agree better signage would...
