Stayed for 4 nights over a nice long weekend with my wife and friends and had an amazing time. From the moment I booked, it was very clear why this hotel is so highly rated. The excellent, friendly and knowledgeable staff were perfect hosts and helped to make our stay in this fantastic city PERFECT. Their restaurant recommendations were spot...

We loved this hotel. Thought it was really nice, personal and friendly - Set in a really nice location a bit away from the busy part of the town. Booking was really easy (despite the creepy music on the website) If you visit this amazing city, I advise you stay here!!

As has been stated in other reviews, this is a great, small hotel. It is an easy ten minute walk to the cathedral area. The staff are very friendly and helpful including providing excellent recommendations for restaurants that serve "local" cuisine. The rooms are clean, functional and relatively large by European standards. The interior of the hotel is a wonderful...

Like nearly every other reviewer, our stay at Hotel Altair was exemplary - why can't all hotels be like this? Stylish and tasteful decor, comfortable, good location, and above all, people who do everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Though we only stayed for one night, nothing was too much trouble, even arranging an emergency dental appointment....

The Altair is the nicest, friendliest and most wonderful hotel I have stayed in. You can keep your 5*luxury because this place is 10*. My family and I have previously stayed at the fantastic Hotel Costa Vella (across the street) and the Altair is similarly exceptional; you will not be disappointed with either. We stayed here between the 12th and...

I will follow all the people who wrote so good about this hotel. The plan was to walk the camino the Santiago and to celebrate my 40th birthday in Santiago. The staff and the athmosphere of the hotel made it into a very special birthday. For me and my family and friends. The staff know all the right places in...

Cute, small design rooms (some drawbacks: no international TV channel, no great sound isolation with other rooms, size small, no spa/jacuzzi). Excellent friendly service. We got excellent non-touristy good Gallician addresses to eat. Thanks!
