Fantastic hotel and staff. Excellent location for city center and amenities. Very comfortable room with air con , clean and spacious. Staff were polite and very attentive. Good knowledge of local trips which they arranged for us which took the stress out organising. Swimming pool was warm clean and relaxing. We did not use the hotel restaurant as we explored...

This hotel exudes character, is close enough to the cathedral and other historic buildings without having tourist busses disgorging their passengers on your doorstep. Frankly I cannot find any sensible criticisms other than the size of the swimming pool. The service we experienced could not have been bettered - polite, friendly and efficient - both at the reception and restaurant...

I, and two of my dearest friends, started out our Camino or Walk of St. James back in 2012. Took us 5 years to complete. On this last leg of the journey we checked into some Luxe!! After a week of hiking, walking, schlepping, sore feet, sore back, blisters, swollen ankles, poor sleep, bad beds and farmland waste...this hotel was...

Great location just minuted from the cathedral. Staff are very professional and helpful. Rooms are simplistic but very comfortable. Clean with all the modern amenities at a very affordable price. Excellent choice of breakfast.

This hotel was a treat for us after walking the Portuguese Camino (for 2 weeks). It doesn't look much from the outside but it did not disappoint. It is a converted monastery, which retains its character but is also thoroughly modern. There are several particularly nice features e.g. the pool, the dining room and the cloisters. The hotel is also...

We did "Camino de Compostela" from Sarria. After many days of walking, we finished our 100 plus-km walk and decided to treat our tired self to a nice hotel. San Francesco was recommended to us. It used to be a monasterey and now a luxury hotel. The room is okay, though not as as luxurious as the price we paid....

This is a spectacular old building - now a hotel property converted from a convent. It is centrally located in Santiago and easy walking distance to the cathedral, market and many wonderful restaurants. The staff is very helpful and the hotel is easy to find.

Our one splurge of our motorcycle tour! The secure free parking right in the middle of Santiago sold us on this one as we wanted to explore off the bikes while they were somewhere safe. The building is totally stunnning and the public areas are just gorgeous but the room was a bit of a let down for the price...

I chose this as a personal treat to mark the end of my 100-mile walk on the Camino. Having endured that penance for the best part of a week - with six blisters for proof - it feels a bit mean and unholy to be anything other than positive about a fine hotel that was once a Franciscan monastery. And...
