The downtown area of Gibraltar is worth skipping. Pretty much that whole side of Gibraltar is a tourist trap. Fortunately you can stay here, on the quiet side of Gibraltar with peaceful beaches, then walk or take a short taxi ride to see the tram to see the monkeys and explore the rock. The hotel is older, but full of...

The sea views are just amazing. You are on top of the water. The breakfast is excellent. Rooms comfortable, beds could be more comfortable! There is no lift but the views are worth the short stairs to the rooms. The only real problem was that on checkout a 10% service charge had been added to drinks and snacks taken in...

My wife and I stayed at the Caleta Hotel from 2nd to 16th May and this was our fourth visit since we first stayed there 11 years ago when we married at Gibraltar Registry Office. Although the hotel is undergoing a massive refurbishment and extension programme that will not be completed until 2019 but will, on completion, afford it a...

The service was fantastic and the rooms were always left clean. We were staying here with friends for our wedding, our room had a sea facing balcony and a very large bathroom with 2 sinks - handy for if you both need in to use them! Toiletries are provided in the room, the usual, shower gels, soaps, sewing kits and...

Booked this hotel months ago. Boarded our plane at Gatwick and started checking emails only to find one via Expeadia advising us that our booking had been cancelled! No explanation? Only assume as this hotel is being refurbished work had not finished in our proposed room or if work had finished they could sell the room at an improved price!,...

This is a very lovely hotel with professional staff. Very kind and helpful. There were a few people who'd gone that extra mile to make our stay unforgettable - evening crew Luca and Jerome - thanks a lot one more time and see you in near future.

Yes there are renovations going on but once you are inside it is clean and smart. We had a balcony room so had views over the sea where there were ships lining up to go into port. Hotel a bit out of the way so that you needed to take the bus into town but at £1.20 for a senior...
