The location is good near to metro station walking for 3-5 minutes and The building is amazing with novel architecture Reception is small and yes thing to do or go in the reception as 5 star hotel but fulfilling the needs Rooms are good space but very old fashioned without any place to charge your phone and yes connection to wall TV. TV itself is not interesting at all as all channels are in Spain and only 2 channels for English but without sound AC is weak and even after 2 hours maintenance still not good and is a complaint from most of the guests in other rooms Breakfast place is small but with nice view and food is cheap with little varieties and tastes…
The worst hotel chain I have ever been unfortunate enough to stay at. Before staying at this hell hole I stayed at they sister sh!t hole in Barcelona. The staff are the most useless and unfriendly bunch of people I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. We had to switch rooms once at the Barcelona hotel and twice at the Madrid hotel because the rooms were very hot. We were not able to sleep well any of the nights and they kept telling us that Spain has certain air conditioning regulations which does not allow them to keep the rooms at low temperatures (bellow 23°C). The concierge continued to spew this “legal” crap at us rather than fixing the problem. Not only is the hotel expensive for what is but the food is also terrible. I ordered room service once and had to throw it away and order delivery. When I asked if the food was fresh they said “we don’t serve fresh food because all our guests eat out”. Now to the hotel pool or “spa” as they like to call it. Not only do you have to pay €18 to to get in but also have to wear a mesh cap (like a butcher), which by the way you also have to pay for. I can’t urge you enough to stay somewhere else. This place is honestly the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I still can’t believe they would have such badly “air conditioned” rooms in a hot city. Summary: Sh!t Service Sh!t Food Sh!t Beds Sh!t Rooms Sh!t TV Sh!t Hole…
They had a sport team staying in the hotel so they forced other guests to use the side door even carrying their luggages on a much longer way - disrespectful. Staff was polite. Reception area is strange, the sofas look good but really hard to sit on. Elevators are hard to get. Room is nice but we found a cockroach, the shower is hard to use and so is the lighting system. Breakfast area was very crowded and the mugs were dirty, they left used ones on the table, together with refolded used napkin and breadcrumbs. Bar was nice.…
1. Security: It simply doesn't exist. I arrived at the hotel for check-in (fully prepaid 3 day stay via a travel agency). They had me wait at the reception desk for over 30 min, claiming there was no such reservation... only, to find out that they had already checked in the room and gave a key to a friend of mine; my friend's name was NOT on the reservation. 2. The hotel is dark day and night. 3. Their service is simply horrible. 4. Their food quality is below average. 5. Their furniture is the most uncomfortable - try sitting on the sofas of the lobby area, 6. Their laundry service is inadequate 7. They change their rules for parking or taxi pick up every hour; you simply do not know where to stand to wait for your (uber) driver ..... 8. Their security people are simply rude. 9. I had the worst manicure of my life for 50Euros which I had to prepay at their Spa! I could honestly go on and on for hours I would never go back to this hotel even if you pay me to stay there. SHAME ON THEM…
Whilst the rooms are ok (very difficult to switch the inside lights on when arriving), given the price range and advertisements this is an overrated 5 star hotel. It is located in the business district (near Chamartín station if you are prepared to walk over rough ground in the dark). The armchairs could be better in the room. The breakfast on the top floor reasonable but not overwhelming. The lobby area needs a major rethink. I complained to the hotel about being solicited by 'high-class' prostitutes in the basement late night bar - the response from the hotel reception was about as lame as you can get. Would not recommend this hotel, it is masquerading as 5 stars because of being in the business district I guess.…
