Everything is clean, confortable. Price are tied and you can negotiate the price with the boss whom is very flexible and helpful. Location is perfect not far from Chueca, a very exciting place and close of exciting stores around. Spanish people are noisy....no matter hours so...don't be surprise because at 1 or 2 am you may be wake up....just let... More

The rooms are clean, and tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed. There is a fridge, tv (but no English channels). Bathroom has a hairdryer and a powerful shower, with plenty of hot water. There is a good size wardrobe with enough clothes hangers. There is no kettle or tea/coffee facilities, although there are enough sockets if you want to take... More

My husband and I stayed at Hostal Adria Santa Ana recently. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. The place is really well located, just 2 blocks away from La Puerta del Sol and walking distance from Cibeles, la Plaza Mayor and other touristic attractions. The price was very convenient; there was no breakfast but that was not a problem... More

Stayed three nights in room 305. Location Fantastic. Sol within 5 mins walking distance. Took about 15 mins to walk to Retiro park. So many tapas bars and cafes on doorstep. Supermarket three doors down. Hotel is on the third floor of old building and there is no lift. I didn't mind this but some may not find the steps... More

It was a really great choice to book our accommodation at this place! The management team is very carting and available. Ideal for stay with friends. Mind there is no lift and you are to use the stairs, but it's not material. The place is a walking distance from the majority of the sightseeing list:) I am sure you will... More

This hostal is ideally located right in central Madrid within walking distance of all the sights, two minutes walk to Puerto de Sol. The room was nice, clean and your own air conditioning unit, although a small bathroom, has everything you need. I had a couple of issues with my key card working on the main door - but the... More

We had a wonderful stay at this small hotel boutique. Everything was just perfect: the room was comfortable, furnished with all the necessary, air conditioning with the remote control to adjust it at our needs; lovely decoration. And for such a good rate! I had read about possible noises from the street, well, we had a room facing Nunez de... More

My mom and I were traveling in Spain and stayed at the Hostal Adriana and had a great experience. At the end of our trip we came back to Madrid early and wanted to stay at the same place. The staff said the rooms at Hostal Adriana were booked, but we could have a room down at the Santa Ana... More

Clean, amazingly quiet, and very comfortable. Check-in was fast and easy from the nearby Hostal Adriano—we parked in the Santa Ana garage and took our luggage in from there, which was simple enough. The stairs are definitely worthy of consideration if you've got ton of stuff, but I wouldn't let that keep you from staying at this perfect situated, excellent... More

In the heart of city is the Santa Ana hostal. Great taberna and bars are in 2 minute distance, important Madrid destinations are at most 15 minutes walk away. We stayed at super clean and cute red room and really enjoyed our stay. Only drawback for this hotel can be that it has no elevator.

Staying in Huertas

Neighbourhood Profile
Huertas
Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The neighbourhood is committed to celebrating its rich heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas receives a fair amount of spillover from the center — side streets around Plaza Santa Ana take on a foreign party atmosphere at night, and you always see young backpackers navigating the streets — but as you descend into the neighbourhood, everything becomes a little more cramped and slightly less refined, and takes on more of an underground feel. Live music is at the heart of Huertas: by night, its subdued bars are ideal for meeting friends, sipping cocktails, and chatting quietly while enjoying jazz or singer-songwriter performances.

“We stayed in the quadruple room (304). It was nicely laid out, with nightstands and four comfortable single beds. It's in the back, so we didn't hear any nightlife noise at all. Great for a family.”
