Me and my friend ended up staying here for 3 days and really appreciated having a room to ourselves! We even loved the fact that there was a sink in our room. Our room was clean, the bathrooms clean and it was quiet and well kept. Our hostess didn't speak English but we more than made do in our broken...

The place is basic but very clean and with an excellent price for what you can find in Madrid The owner was extremely nice and it is close to the metro. The only downside was that the lift wasn't working and three floors is a lot to carry suitcases. Don't be confused, this is not a hostel it is a...

The owners are a friendly couple. they speak no English whatsoever but are always determined to help you anyway. Hard to find, hardly a sign outside. It's on the third floor, so quite some stairs. Rather noisy at night. Tiny room, and our bathroom was a bit dirty, but everything else is very clean.

Great hotel/hostel for those who prefer modest accommodation for reasonable price. It is clean and comfortable, close to all the main attractions of Madrid. The staff is obliging (not English speaking but still ready to assist U at any moment). Recommend.

I stayed at "Pension Antonio" at Calle de la Palma, 62, 28015 Madrid, Community of Madrid, Spain. It was clean and served the purpose. I was with 4 other women so I didn't mind using the community bathroom. There isn't an elevator and it is located on the 3rd floor. I carried my 46lb. suitcase up & down the stairs!...

it's very clean. Has everything you need, wi-fi with a good speed, o.k bed, clean bathroom and the owner is friendly and helpful. One thing though, it will be good to know basic Spanish because the owner knows very little. It has a good location to all the touristic places and there is a metro station near by.

Staying in Malasana

Neighbourhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
