This is my 4th visit to Spain and I stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. Except for the location, everything was horrible. The room was big but too outdated. Also, reception was always busy to handle the ppl, i was hardly able to talk to the staffs. However, even getting through the all the mess, my request to the...

Good situation in a very Spanish area with reasonable restaurants. Royal Palace visible up a steep hill. Opposite Principe Pio metro with excellent service to centre and Bernabau stadium. Alas, noisy demonstrations outside hotel by workers who had not been paid. No water from basin, and bath unusable without also flooding room from faulty shower. I agreed with another reviewer...

Looking at some of the reviews on here and feel sad for the hotel. A group of us stayed for the weekend and yes the decor is old fashioned and could use a revamp. However it's a very good functioning hotel and the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in! Only one set back was the slightly relaxed service in the...

Room 214 – 4 nights This hotel is too exhausting! We were sooooo tired because of lack of sleep... First the positive points as only 3. POSITIVE:- 1.- The hotel cafeteria (NOT the same as the hotel restaurant / breakfast hall) is excellent and the menu provides for allergies (Coeliac, etc.,). Very friendly waiters always willing to accommodate. 2.- Great...

Worst experience ever. The rooms aren't clean, the air condition didn't work and they didn't fix it. The reception were extremly unkind and unhelpful. We asked the recption for an aid with the transportaion to the airport and we've been charged for making a phone call! (3 euro)

Previous reviews/photos meant I was not looking forward to arriving but I was surprised and relieved. Really Good location opposite station and walking distance to town. Beds were fantastic, so clean and comfy. Bathroom decor was busy and dated but all really clean. Restaurant service to get a drink was slow but we mostly drank and ate out so not...

The hotel was okay as I didn't plan on being in it only to sleep and shower. The rooms were small and the elevator was very small. We were able to walk most places around town but did have to cab it to some of the sites Stop and Go too expensive for 1 and a half days.

The hotel was probably quite splendid when new but is rather old and tired now. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but the plumbing was rather antiquated and leaky. It didn't cause too many problems, but the tap bases leaked, the shower head would not adjust, the toilet flush leaked all the time and the bidet was...

Stayed 3 nights for the Super Classico (3:2 Barcelona, Messi's 500th goal wins the game! :) Hotel's location is good, right near Principe Pio Metro station. BUT beyond that terrible hotel - staff was not willing to help, rooms were smelly, breakfast greasy, a/c non-effective, towels small, no shampoo, safe (manual) costs extra, need I go on? Avoid if you...

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights great location if you are travelling from the airport via public transport as the train station is across the road with direct trains to the airport. The hotel needs a serious upgrade as if simply looks tired and shabby. There were no major faults with the room other than the fact wifi...
