Very cozy hostel, room quite clean and bed is comfortable. Very friendly staff and excellent location of the hotel allows examination of central Madrid on foot and near Gran Via avenue- 5 min walk. The metro station is just in 1 min walk.

Stayed here a couple of nights while by myself. A great, inexpensive place to crash, in a nice neighbourhood. The staff are really helpful as well - the only thing that grated was their repeated reminder to give them five stars on TripAdvisor!

Well, the room and bathroom are small. Wireless didn't work in our room so I had to step in the hallway. A subway station is a few steps away (literally). 5 minutes walk and there's a main street. Daniella was really nice. The tiny champagne bottle and what they did with the towels is cute. The shower could be cleaner.

Comfortable and clean place to stay. Not quiet but we felt safe and secure. It was a short walk to all of the attractions we visited and the staff was wonderful and very helpful. Free wi-fi and it worked well.

I stayed there for 2 nights for long weekend. It in is great location, only 10 minutes walk from Grand Via (main street of Madrid). The hostel was neat and clean on the first floor tenement house. Room was clean with air-con and TV. On bed we found towels in the shape of elephants :). Staff were welcoming and friendly....

we actually didnt plan to spend a night in Madrid at first but then we missed our bus so we had to find a place to stay in the last minute. The price was jaw-dropping only 40euro per night with everything you need. The location is great too just 10 steps away from the Noviciado metro station and about 5-7...

Staying in Malasana

Neighbourhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
