Our “unique” hotel awaits you right on Madrid’s “Golden Mile”. It is housed in a 19th-century palace which was transformed into this luxurious 44-room boutique hotel a few years ago. Its elegant facade conceals a regal interior architecture with modern rooms that boast high ceilings and large windows. One of hotel’s best kept secrets: a garden that allows to relax and take a break from the busy rhythm of Madrid, without leaving the city. At the weekends the exclusive Sunday Brunch is served under the glass pergola overlooking the garden. This exclusive spacious yet tranquil with a pleasant open-air lounge area, gives access to the restaurant Ramón Freixa Madrid which has quickly become a “must” in the city, having been awarded 2 Michelin stars and named “Best Restaurant in Madrid” at the prestigious Madrid Fusión event.

Highly recommended. Had a King room facing street. Well insulated doors to balcony so no street noise bothered us, even on New Years Eve.
Helpful staff.
Good breakfast buffet.
A few problems with WiFi was our only negative.
Excellent housekeeping services and turndown each evening. (One day we forgot to take the Do Not Disturb sign off the door and they completely did the room in the evening.) Plenty of closet and storage space. Generously sized bathroom.
Everything I’d expect given the 5 star rating and premium price point.
Great location as mentioned in other reviews, in posh shopping district, fun to window shop. Much more pleasant than crowded chaotic old town area. As walkers, we found it convenient enough to get places.

It was my first time in Madrid and the most beautiful one ever. Starting from the first step to the door, to the last day of the checkout, the hotel made me and my sister feel like we were members of the family, they knew us by names, our rooms were extremely clean and beautiful. You walk out of the room to the lobby, 5 min later the housekeeping team has already fixed the bed and brought towels, you walk out an hour later, come back to a fixed room with chocolate on your bed. Made me smile each time. Booking reservations, helping with cars, giving recommendations and all the professionalism of the hotel staff makes you feel so special. Absolutely loved every single minute of the experience! Plus the location! OMG! The best in town. Will definitely come back!!!

I moved to this hotel after having a terrible nights sleep elsewhere. They were incredibly kind and accommodating and gave me a quiet room at the back of the hotel. The hotel itself feels rather dated, even though its "modern". Breakfast was bad value for money overall, but important to note that I eat a small number of breakfast items. Gym is rather unloved and stuck in a dark basement. Highlight is a small garden out at the back where one can enjoy some sunshine, and indeed the staff who were fantastic. Value for money overall was poor.

Amazing hotel in a great location. Not more than a 15 min walk to many amazing locations such as Praque de el retiro. The staff was very friendly and helpful, great place to stay in Madrid. The beds were comfortable and the shower had great pressure and felt wonderful after a day of running around the city.

Modern minimalist hotel within a period historic building. Lovely area of fashionable boutiques , a few cafes and tree lined streets. Easy walk to Retiro park.
Room was very calming, dark wood flooring, dual aspect windows.
Top floor rooms will have skylights and might not be suitable for taller guests.
I absolutely loved the room where they served breakfast, like a conservatory overlooking a garden courtyard area. Great food selection and beautifully presented.

The hotel is in a nice location and the staff are friendly and hospitable. But this is not five star. The room was tiny, and the bathroom was very small. The cleaners didn't clean my bathroom properly. The room service was very painful to deal with: no-one could understand me (in English) on the phone and my food order was incorrectly taken twice. The food was described as 'gourmet', which means that the portion sizes are very inadequate. Not for me.

We have traveled the world and if you are looking for a small boutique hotel in the best neighborhood in Madrid, this is it. The attention to detail, from the whole staff, you could not expect more. Since the hotel is so small, we were known immediately and assisted us in so many ways. From making restaurant suggestions and reservations to planning day trips, or personal guides to museums they proved to be invaluable.
