Nice hotel, good position with lots of attractions within walking distance. Friendly and helpful staff. Baggage room to leave luggage if you arrive before your room is ready and if your flight is quite late when you leave. Good breakfast for 10 euros, comfortable clean room with plenty of hot water. Would stay there again.

Very good location at Gran Via. Shopping, dining, hop-on/off tour bus across the street. 5 mins to Sol city centre. Our room (411) was spacious. Bathroom was a bit tight in one area because of the bidet. Good room amenities. Fast (free) internet. Staff are professional and attentive. Breakfast buffet for EU10 is a bargain, good selection. We'll stay here...

We booked 2 rooms for 3 nights without breakfast, the prices were really good compared to "Catalonia Plaza Cataluña" in Barcelona, but much less quality of furniture and no good view for both rooms. One of the rooms was really small for a double room. I don't recommend this hotel, and not planning to stay in it again.

My partner and I stayed here for three nights including New Year's Eve, I would have been wrong to write this review straight after leaving as I was still in such a foul mood after having €150 euros STOLEN from my bedside table on the afternoon of the 31st, t'was a very sober NYE! I am assuming the housekeeper or...

This hotel is in a very central location, close to Sol and on Gran Via. The rooms are very nice and comfortable and the pricing is very reasonable. We stayed here on NYE and it really was perfect for us.

All in all a good value for the $ but was very disapointed in the first room I booked. Very old not up to date dingy dark and a foul odor in the bathroom. Once I upgraded my room I had a much more pleasent experience. Bright clean up to date room and newer pillows and sheets .

We stayed here for a few days at the end of November. The location was pretty decent for us, and the service was adequate. We found that the hotel room was nice enough for us, nothing fancy (we were only staying in a standard room category). The one problem we had was that (it being quite cold during our stay)...

Overall, a good hotel. Very quiet, as the room had double doors and a double windows. I did not hear any noises from outside or from adjacent rooms, as one often does in Madrid. Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
