Nice boutique Hotel in the heart of Madrid. The location is perfect. The room was rather dark with only windows toward the inside of the building. The restaurant has great food, but as spanish people eat late night the noise will be audible until quite late.

An amazing hotel at the center of La Latina. Reception was very warm and friendly, extremely helpful. The room was lovely, the bed was comfy, and the location so very convenient. This hotel made our stay very memorable! Would 100% stay again if in Madrid.

We had an excellent lunch here with lots of different tapas, which included some baby eels, tasty croquettes and a really good Torejas to finish with. The restaurant has a lovely warm and friendly atmosphere and is clearly very popular with the locals. It sits over part of the old walls of Madrid which you can see lit up under...

This hotel made us smile from the very minute we walked in!! It is located in La Latina on one of the famous tapas roads. As you wind down the roads it suddenly appears and you walk through the sleek glass doors, you enter via the bar but check in is just to your right. We arrived early and they...

A taxi driver told us that this hotel, merely steps from the heart of this beautiful city, was on the street with the best/most restaurants in Madrid. Plaza Mayor and Plaza del Sol are minutes away, along with many quaint vegetable/fruit stores and local businesses. The hotel sits on what appears to be some kind of excavation site (they creatively...

Dear Hammer302, Thank you for your warm feedback! Located on La Latina, one of the most popular, central, and historical street, it may happen that the noise level rises on the weekends, as its a very popular street in madrid! This hotel is phenomenal in terms of both affordability, location, cleanliness, comfort and staff friendliness. Friendliness: I arrived here one hour early for check in but the wonderful front desk staff were able to accommodate an early check-in without us even having to ask and no fuss at all. When I asked for an adapter to charge my phone they...

Staying in La Latina

Neighbourhood Profile
La Latina
La Latina is a charming neighbourhood with two unique personalities. At first glance, it’s distinctly old-world, with narrow streets weaving a maze among charming stone buildings in sunny, bright colors like yellow and pink. The other side of La Latina is characterized by a young population and a bohemian vibe, as evidenced by a dynamic and evolving selection of new bars, shops, coworking spaces, and other businesses popping up in the area. In the northern part of the neighbourhood, the Cava Alta and Cava Baja streets constitute the tapas center of Madrid, where each age-old restaurant serves up distinctive specialties like huevos rotos and patatas bravas. Locals have come here for generations to while away hours over drinks and tapas with friends. On Sundays and public holidays, the streets to the south of La Latina metro station transform into a giant open-air market full of locals sifting through tent after tent of art, apparel, and antiques. Any day of the week, the intriguing blend of the traditional and the hip make the streets of La Latina worth exploring.
