This hotel is phenomenal in terms of both affordability, location, cleanliness, comfort and staff friendliness. Friendliness: I arrived here one hour early for check in but the wonderful front desk staff were able to accommodate an early check-in without us even having to ask and no fuss at all. When I asked for an adapter to charge my phone they...

On a recent short break to Madrid this became our favourite bar. The beer and wine was good and always served with lovely tapas. The patatas was our favourite! There was a great feel to the bar. We will be back!

We arrived early and were allowed have our starters in the bar. Beautiful food. Pork steak with Pedro Ximinez sauce was something special. Had suckling pig for main course, amazing. A little more expensive than the rest of the restaurants, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommended!!

Visited one evening in October, and were extremely lucky to get a booking at short notice. English widely spoken and great atmosphere without any rush or pressure. Great selection of food and wines. An interesting boutique hotel that we would happily stay in on any future visit to Madrid. Famous for suckling pork dishes. Would recommend. Chris.

This is by far the best boutique hotel I have stayed at. You cannot fault anything at the hotel. The breakfast was great and in the evenings the gin and tonic is superb. Staff are helpful and speak English. The rooms are clean and housekeeping staff are very pleasant. The Bar has a very interesting floor. It is Perspex and...

If you're heading to Madrid and stay here you won't be disappointed. It's in the heart of nightlife (and fantastic for day drinks and nibbles too!) and just a 5-10 min walk to the main square. The rooms are modern and comfortable, however it can get a little noisy at night as the rooms surround the interior bar/restaurant. Gorgeous views...

We stayed here for 4 nights and the hotel staff was very good. We had very clean and comfortable beds. It is very close to Plaza Mayor and very easy to get around town to other historic sites. The breakfast was a very nice buffet and reasonably priced. At night, the street outside is very busy with restaurants and people....

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights as we were able to get a great deal through Expedia! The location is great within walking distance to many eateries, and attractions. We didn't take a taxi once, as everything we planned and wanted to see was at our fingertips! Although the hotel was nestled down a narrow...

Staying in La Latina

Neighbourhood Profile
La Latina
La Latina is a charming neighbourhood with two unique personalities. At first glance, it’s distinctly old-world, with narrow streets weaving a maze among charming stone buildings in sunny, bright colors like yellow and pink. The other side of La Latina is characterized by a young population and a bohemian vibe, as evidenced by a dynamic and evolving selection of new bars, shops, coworking spaces, and other businesses popping up in the area. In the northern part of the neighbourhood, the Cava Alta and Cava Baja streets constitute the tapas center of Madrid, where each age-old restaurant serves up distinctive specialties like huevos rotos and patatas bravas. Locals have come here for generations to while away hours over drinks and tapas with friends. On Sundays and public holidays, the streets to the south of La Latina metro station transform into a giant open-air market full of locals sifting through tent after tent of art, apparel, and antiques. Any day of the week, the intriguing blend of the traditional and the hip make the streets of La Latina worth exploring.
