Four Seasons Hotel Madrid offers a luxurious and stylish atmosphere that guests frequently commend, with comfortable rooms that boast modern amenities, though lighting and readiness have been points of contention for some. While the hotel's prime location earns high marks for its proximity to Madrid's key attractions, opinions on value are mixed, with some travelers feeling the cost does not quite match up with the hotel's offerings. Cleanliness is a standout feature, with meticulous standards widely noted. The amenities, including a praised spa, are generally celebrated, but experiences at the bar and breakfast have left a few guests wanting. Service is often described as professional and attentive, yet occasional delays have been mentioned.

Not short of amazing. The hotel is in the heart of Madrid - close to all key attractions, restaurants, and shopping. A 5 star experience. The staff truly makes you feel like you are a special guest. the room has automated curtains, a luxury mini bar, and a bed that is so comfortable you may have trouble getting out of it. You can request the type of pillow you would like to sleep on via an iPad system. Most TV channels are in Spanish - hardly any English channels. The bedroom has a walk-in closet which is very convenient to store all your luggage. What I did miss was a mirror in front of the desk especially to do your makeup. The bathroom is luxurious and has the best amenities. It has a walking shower and a full bathtub with bathrobes and slippers. It also has a separate toilet area. The iPad has all the information for the hotel. You can order anything you require from the hotel and have it delivered at a specific time, which was impressive however I had tested this and the items did not arrive so I reverted to the old telephone call where it was delivered in minutes. It has a 4 story spa area which includes the gym and a pool with a jacuzzi area. There was a lot of space in the reception area to socialize and not feel overcrowded. The only reason I would give this hotel a four star is because of the breakfast, for a 5-star hotel, I was expecting more from the breakfast but everything made up for it.

This hotel is amazing. The Four Seasons brand , as a whole is impeccable and known for the hospitality that it gives from the smallest of things that you don't see in other brands. Like, no pointing with your fingers and going above and beyond each and every time. The Four Seasons Madrid made sure that no step was missed when arriving early from the US. Our daughters were staying here and our flights arrived and they knew and had their room ready. Upon entering the Four Seasons, which is one of the most historic and beautiful buildings you see and commands a moment, mind you, you are taken aback by the beauty of the lobby and the smell is amazing but not overwhelming. Your bags are taken by the bell man with his top hat. You are offered a drink while you await to check in. Our daughter's room was beautiful. It overlooked the Calle and was graced with luxury throughout. Her sister was to join her later and was celebrating her 30th birthday, as well as passing the bar exam at a high pass rate in 4 states; the Four Seasons had a chocolate FS jigsaw puzzle in the room; a chocolate dessert and card! So pretty! We own a FS bed in our home and trust me the mattresses are to die for; a wonderful thing after a long flight! The bathroom is beautiful and the tub is jetted; the toiletries smell like magnolia! We dined in the Michelin Starred Dani (by Dani Garcia) and it was one of the BEST meals we had in our 14 day journey of Spain. The rooftop bar is worth a splurge drink or high tea to take in the beauty of golden hour of the city. Hermes is housed in the lobby area of the hotel if you want to drop some coins and splurge.. side note, they can deliver that to your room and you get the VAT back! Everything here is top notch from the service to the twice daily service to the food and staff throughout. The concierge made sure that we had great itineraries for our stay in Madrid too. There are luxury hotels and then there are luxury hotels that win the hospitality prize and this one wins all of the things!

A stunning hotel with excellent staff.

This is a new hotel, just 4 years old I believe. The location is excellent as one can walk to all of the major sights and landmarks as well as to the Salamanca neighbourhood for shopping.

Our room, a one bedroom suite, was very comfortable, well designed, with light dimmers and remote controlled window coverings, a well stocked mini bar, a large free standing tub and a bed so comfortable you looked forward to resting in the room. Housekeeping was prompt each day and we enjoyed the turndown service.

As usual the Four Seasons staff was excellent, as one has grown to expect from the Four Seasons. We were assisted with restaurant reservations, hiring a private tour guide and other small queries.

We enjoyed a wonderful massage in the multi level spa as well as their steam rooms and pools.

Dani, their restaurant on the top floor of the hotel, offers a delicious breakfast each morning as well as lunch and dinner. Beware that there is a cover charge per person at lunch and dinner. One can eat inside or outside.

We also enjoyed sitting in the lobby lounge bar for drinks and snacks.

After a four night stay we really didn’t want to leave.

Highly recommend!

The hotel seemed new, everything about the room was perfect, very well designed, a great walk in closet where you can open your suitcase without it falling on the floor which is very rare and plenty of space. Great service. Lovely breakfast, a buffet and menu.

We have stayed at a number of Four Seasons properties and can honestly stay this is one of the best. The hotel is located in a stunningly restored historic building right in the heart of Madrid’s shopping and nightlife districts. There are a lot of different room types but the rooms are beautifully appointed and very spacious. The pool and spa areas are pristine and offer the perfect chance to refresh after a hot day of site seeing. What always makes Four Seasons stand out though is the incredible staff. The concierge team, led by Raul, was amazing. They secured all of our dinner reservations at delicious restaurants, offered great activity and nightlife recommendations, and made sure we enjoyed our stay. Also, the guest experience team, particularly Lorena, went above and beyond to make sure our room was perfect and we had welcome amenities like fresh fruit and tea cake. Probably the most impressive thing though was they gifted us a beautiful tile with our names imprinted modeled after the street signs in Madrid. It was truly something we would have never expected! I recommend this hotel if you are looking for the warm and luxurious hospitality Four Seasons provides and want to be as close to shopping, dining, and nightlife as possible.

I went to the Valentine's Day special and everything but the pianist, very disappointing. They tell you that you can go 45 minutes early and they don't open up until 30 minutes early, so you have to be queuing up a quarter of an hour on the street.
The concert is on the second floor and they make you go up a staircase, nobody tells you if there is an elevator, which I understand yes.
The concert takes 60 minutes, but at 50, the pianist gets up, thanks and leaves, but halfway through, turns and "gifts" another song.
Greetings, embarrassed, they take you down a service staircase, narrow and facing directly to the street.
As for the distribution of the room, I would say that those of us who have paid zone A or B, have made the cousin. There are eight rows of chairs, the first two zones A, the next two zones B and so on. I think for a concert like this, it's heard the same in the first row as in the eighth.
That said, disappointing and not recommended.

The hotel is magnificent from the lobby to the rooms to the pool/terrace to the restaurants.

We booked the hotel through Fine Hotels and Resorts, which usually upon availability we get nice upgrades.

I booked a deluxe room and we requested an upgrade if available. In the hotel web site these rooms show big floor to ceiling windows that are across the wall, the same room category has 2 different views.

We were able to get an early check in and they told us that we had been upgraded.

I was very excited to check out the room, but upon entering the room, even though it was beautiful, it seemed downgraded rather than upgraded. So I was very disappointed.

We got "upgraded" to another view, which to be honest most likely is the same as the other as they just face buildings but this room had a small window.

I contacted them and they said that the rooms that have the big/large windows are in a different floor and that because the historic building some rooms have those windows and some have the small windows.

I completely understand that, however it is disappointing when you expect a room that you have seen on their web site, you expect something better as you have been "upgraded".

I think that they should list all the room types under the different categories of rooms rather than just showing rooms with big floor to ceiling windows just to get a room with a small window, when you are paying over $1300/night.

I contacted them and they said they could move me at 6 pm to a same category room with the large windows.... I told them that was fine, but was disappointed that was the only thing they could do, when there was plenty availability.

We went to the room at 6 pm and were happily surprised with the new room that was a nice upgrade, it was completely beautiful.

The pool was great and sauna area. There is a hot tub/spa area, it was nice, I wish the temperature was higher in that smaller pool. It was not cold, but it was not hot.

We ate at the Isa restaurant and did love it, great ambiance and food.

Breakfast at the Dani restaurant was great and the views incredible over the city.

Overall great stay, however with this price tag and category, I wish we would have been given a better room from the beginning and wish the web site had more accurate pictures of the rooms or at least mention that the room can be different depending on floor, so there are no disappointments.

I expected much more from a luxury hotel like the Four Seasons, but my recent stay left me thoroughly unimpressed. I requested a late checkout of 5 p.m. due to my 7 p.m. flight, which seemed like a reasonable request considering the hotel’s availability online. They offered a 3 p.m. checkout but refused to extend it further, citing “availability issues.” This was clearly untrue, as they later offered a 5 p.m. checkout for an outrageous €700, confirming they had availability but were more interested in squeezing extra money from guests than providing genuine hospitality.

This level of dishonesty and prioritizing profits over guest satisfaction is shocking, especially from a brand that prides itself on exceptional service. Instead of being transparent and accommodating, they opted for a greedy upsell tactic.

I’ve stayed at many luxury hotels, and this behavior is far from what I would expect. I won’t be returning, and I strongly advise others to think twice if they expect honest and guest-centered service from this establishment.
