It is very well situated for Madrid's centre and for the Prado, parks and galleries and for Atocha station. The breakfast had the widest range of items we had ever seen! The staff were pleasant and some recent refurbishment had taken place. We had a room overlooking the Paseo de Prado which gave us a good view of the finishing... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was not large but well appointed and tastefully decorated with a very comfortable bed. Breakfasts were fabulous with a wide range of delicious options and the tapas bar and little restaurant on the ground floor was superb. We had some of the best and... More

The hotel has a very good location for seeing the Prado Museum or if needing convenient access to Atocha Station. It has had a recent renovation to the lobby which is spacious and tasteful. The front desk staff is pleasant enough, however the level of English language skills is very very poor with many of them. I was in a... More

A very good location, near the center, museums, Metro station and Atocha train station. The room are nice, even though small. The breakfast is also good with few options. This is the second time I stay in this hotel and I think I will go back there when in Madrid.

This hotel is situated walking distance from the Atocha rail station. There are many famous museums within a kilometer away. The Paseo Del Prado is a straight shot to the Royal Palace and Fuente Cibeles. It has a nice restaurant on site where one can imbibe only if one fancies it. There are some night clubs around the corner and... More

Great hotel for location and service, the breakfast is of the highest quality and sets you up for the day. The best bit of the hotel are the staff who are friendly and helpful, also the new layout of the hotel is very good.

The gym has only three machines: treadmill, cross-trainer and cycle (no spinning). It usually offers isotonic drinks and water, some fruits. I recommend inside rooms, if you want to rest. Rooms are small, but modern enough for business purposes.

We stayed in this hotel and were offered a room upgrade for 20E on arrival to have a room overlooking the park. A great decision as the rooms are quite small and it afforded us some extra space in terms of the view. The rooms and facilities were great as was the location with proximity to the main railway station,... More

Needed a hotel close to the Atocha train station and this was perfect. Spent just one night but it was extremely comfortable, well appointed and reasonably priced. The modern decor was terrific and the shower & bath amenities were exceptional.

Staying in Paseo del Prado

Neighbourhood Profile
Paseo del Prado
The area around the elegant Paseo del Prado boulevard is much-visited by both locals and tourists. The world-famous Prado, the Reina Sofia, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museums form a triangle of art and culture that spans this grand and beautiful avenue. On weekdays, the Prado Museum opens its doors for free after-work hours, drawing a diverse and excited queue of art lovers that wraps around the block. Palacio de Cibeles and Círculo de Bellas Artes cultural centers are other artsy hangouts to check out, with rooftop bars that provide impressive views of the city. While the Paseo del Prado and its roundabouts form a busy throughway in Madrid, a broad green pedestrian park in the middle is a calm and gorgeous place for a relaxing stroll. Just east of the museums, the Retiro Park is always a confluence of activity as families and friends of all ages take to the pretty paths and lawns to stretch their legs or to have a picnic.
