Perfect location on walking distance of the most places to see. The breakfast was good with enough choice. Room at the front with balcony was good size and the bathroom was ok. Certainly a hotel to come back .

The Hotel had all the basics, not not a lot more. The Breakfast was OK, but the room was too small for a Hotel of this size. No other places to relax inside. The only UK TV channel was BBC World News, but the WiFi was OK. Well placed in Madrid though. You can walk to a couple of the...

It's location near Gran Via is very helpful to take a tour in old city, but the reception staff have a poor English speaking and they looked unfriendly and not interesting to deal with you,the other bad thing is the isolation of the rooms you can hear any thing in the corridor and nearby room.

We recently stayed here for 2 nights. The location is brilliant, especially if you like shopping. We had a studio room which was an ok size. We could hear people in the hall if they talked. We could sometimes hear water running down a drain that sounded like the drain was in the wall by the bed. The studio was...

Amazing location, you can go everywhere by foot, friendly staff, I can't think of anything less than perfect. It's ideal for staying if your goal is to see as much as possible of Madrid in the short time. Rooms are nice and comfortable, amazing view from the terrace on Calle Gran Via. When I decide to visit Madrid for the...

A very good reasonably priced 3 star hotel in central Madrid just off Gran Via. Room very clean and breakfasts were very good. Staff were very helpful. Only problem was breakfast room was not large enough to cope with everyone when they arrived for breakfast and it was sometimes necessary to queue until a table became available .

The location of the hotel is great, in the center! Only needed to use the metro once during our entire stay! The room is very small and eve though we were promised 3 single beds the 3rd one was a sofa bed, shorter than a regular bed. The breakfast is very poor and overprized! You can get a better breakfast,...

You need to leave keys on the reception and pick them up every time you leave and come back to the hotel. Old-fashioned system although electronic door locks are available. Good location and transport accessibility.

Very good location. In a few moment you are on Plaza Mayor, food market etc. One night was very noisy ( we sleep with open window). Maybe busy night live. We did ask for a quiet room. Space in the room was good. Friendly employees.

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
