Room was very Dark! And has an old , bad smell. There was only a few small ramp in the room! So we used smartphone ramp! If you want to drink coffee, you should pay for kitchen fee 5euro per day just to boil water. Last night ramp was gone, my kid was scared so we asked for changing ramp...

This hotel has a great location, 2 minutes walk from the metro station Tribunal, but that is about the only good thing about the hotel. The room had a funny smell, we had to go out and buy scented candles and air fresheners to make the room bearable. It was a basic dated room. If you wanted to use the...

We booked the hotel for a last minute trip to Madrid. The hotel has a number of pluses and negatives. On the positive side it is well located and quite economical. We stayed in a centrally facing, high level room which we believe would have been much better than the outside facing lower rooms. The staff were pleasant and the...

The hotel is located right in the center of Madrid and has a good relation price quality. The rooms are very big and have a kitchen. The beds are very confortable and the staff is nice and helpful. They had some issues with the air conditioning in the first day we stayed there, but they solved it right in the...

We stayed here for 5 nights from the 2nd to the 7th July. What we expected was accommodation in a central location, nothing excessive but with a kitchen so we could prepare breakfast for our little one. Upon arrival we were dealt with by curt staff who seemingly couldn't be bothered. We had a lot of luggage, and the fact...

The hotel is very simple, old fashioned. Wifi works well, the hotel is located very close to the subway station (Tribunal). Staff is all right. Its nothing special, mostly for locals who have to stay overnight in Madrid, I guess.

The hotel is really close to Tribunal metro station (which has 2 lines running is easy to get to/from Barajas airport). The neighborhood is good for the nightlife but can be overwhelming for those who want to relax. Also, my bedroom was old, smelled like cigarette (even though it was a non-smoking room) and not really clean. I wouldn't stay...

Spent four nights here. It is a five minute walk from Gran Via and seconds from the Tribunal metro station. There is no restaurant so breakfast is delivered to the room when you call the front desk. It is fairly minimal although there is coffee and toast. It can be noisy at night. Our room smelled like a college dorm...

Let´s say this way: if you are not demanding person, you will be OK. To begin, remember that the name of the hotel is Apart-Hotel. But in such a kitchen it is impossible prepare any food. Moreover, no ventilation and if someone is cooking on the same floor, smells throughout the room and the corridor. Kitchen is poor. Not even...

The hotel is in an acceptable location and right next to the Tribunal metro stop. HOWEVER - there are many others in better locations and the one thing that made me write this review is the fact that it is so HOT in this room/building even though it was advertised as having air conditioning. Do you know how hot it...

Staying in Malasana

Neighbourhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
