Lovely hotel to stay in. It is a fantastic location as is right next to both Santo Domingo and Noviciado Metro Stations, so going from there to Madrid and its surrounding areas is great. Furthermore you can walk to the Sol and other main plazas/ attractions very quickly from there also. As for the food we found the cafe next...

The hotel is in a fantastic location. Literally metres from the Gran Via, and a few minutes walk from Novicado metro stop. Opera, Sol and the palaces are within walking distance. The hop on/ off bus is also a few minutes walk away. The street itself is fairly quiet and we felt very safe walking around at night. Easy to...

Good location. Great beds. Large room. Clean. Good prices. Breakfast is ok too but you can find desayonos in the surrounding cafés for a better price. Only negative point is the absence of private parking (supposed to be full ...lol). Will come back.

Hotel met needs and was in excellent location to everything. Rooms are small, we had 4 twin bed small closet and nice size private bathroom and although are room was in the first floor and facing the main street (San Bernardo) it was really quite. Staff was polite and nice. There is no parking so don't rent a car, you...

I stayed here before when the hotel had a different name. The hotel has changed a bit but the service is still good, the staff friendly and the location is great. It is close to transport links, places to visit and handy for shopping and eating out. It is not noisy for a central location but perhaps the rooms at...

We didn't need a luxurious hotel with view of the Madrid. We just needed somewhere to sleep, eat and take a bath, so that we could enjoy our vacation in Madrid. From this point of view, the hotel was perfect, near the major sightseeing points, with easy access to the buses and the metro and in an area where you...

Bitten by bed bugs. I tried to contact the hotel to tell them over email twice (to which they'd contacted me via earlier). But no reponse at all when asked to sort it out. Apart from that, good location and breakfast reasonably priced.

My wife and I together with two friends had a long weekend in Madrid, it was my second visit and my wifes third. We stayed at the Sterling Hotel just off the Grand Via and found the experience very good for the price we paid. The room was a little small but adequate with a good bathroom. Breakfast was reasonable...

We stayed here for a stag weekend in June and it was perfect. Very reasonably priced, perfect location right by several metro stops and just off the Grand Via. Staying in Malasana

Neighbourhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
