We stayed at orfila in may 2017. The service provided by Jose and the team was just fantastic. They were so helpful in every way, from getting us tickets to the football game to great recommendations for restaurants. The location itself suited us well, as it was about a 20minute walk from the old city. We did not want to...

The Orfilia hotel is situated in a quiet street just two minutes away from bustling shopping areas. If you like walking it is 15- 20 minutes from the Prado and Thyssen museums, otherwise taxis are easy to find and reasonably priced. The staff are pleasant, efficient and helpful. We were upgraded to a spacious suite on the 5th floor (...

This hotel is a true gem. The outstanding service, including room upgrades, and the well appointed rooms make this hotel one I would return to. Comfortable beds, a beautiful, quiet terrace garden, and attentive staff is what I want in a five star hotel! Wish we were staying longer!

We stayed here last week and cannot fault this hotel. We were upgraded to room 30 which was fabulous and quiet. The hotel is spotlessly clean and there is a genuine sense of pride in the staff. Pedro on the door was so friendly and helpful and the restaurant manager, sorry don't know your name was excellent, the food needless...

High quality traditional service pack at a perfect location in Madrid. The breakfast garden spot is appreciated very high value as the quality of the breakfast also is. It's a perfect spot for relaxation. Speed of service might be increased a little bit but stick to the extreme friendliness of your staff. Excellent experience @ Orfila Hotel.

We visited this hotel for the second time in 18 months. Great attentive staff, wonderful and intimate dining. This is a small hotel on a quiet street located in a residential area near embassies and government buildings. Close to great dining establishments.

Staying in Chamberi

Neighbourhood Profile
Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighbourhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The small XIX century palace was transformed into a hotel in 1999, respecting the majestic style of the era, at the same time as installing all the appropriate commodities for a luxuorious establishment from the end of the nineteenth century. Only a year after it opened, the hotel joined the Relais Chateaux Chain of hotels, a group of the most prestigious hotels in the world. The hotels belonging to the Relais Chateaux must have 4 or 5 stars and less than 100 rooms, and be outstanding their strict respect for the five concepts that define the philosophy of this hotel chain: character, courtesy, charm and cuisine. ... more   less
