Fantastic location, easy walking distance to the city centre attractions, 25 min walk to train station. The bedrooms are really lovely, big beds, and fabulous shower, the rooms are advertised as sound proof which is not quite true, we had a balcony and you hear street noise and people talking when they go outside to smoke. We were only here...

The hotel is fantastic. The staff are friendly and so helpful. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. It was so nice to sleep in a quality bed that was good memory foam as I always suffer with my back whenever I stay away from home. Breakfast was a buffet style and so much to choose from . We will definitely...

Looking for accommodation close to Plaza de Mayor then this is the spot. Hidden in one of the side streets, this place is 2 blocks from this attraction. Walking in, you might be confused that this is only a restaurant, but in the corner friendly staff waits to assist. The rooms are SMALL but modern and actually all you need....

I needed a convenient hotel which has good access to the airport for transit. This hotel is a perfect for my needs. Highly recommendable for short stay. *Location Walking distance, 3-8 min from metro stations. It took approx. 50 min from airport by bus and metro. You can also take a taxi, it just takes about 30 min to go....

My friend had booked a hotel right at the beginning of plaza mayor and it was very very expensive and the rooms were not even clean enough, we arrived from barcelona and thought of moving around a bit leaving our luggage at the reception there and not checking in, we saw La Posada del Dragon and the location is lovely,...

Totally fantastic stay! The location is brilliant, staff are lovely, and their pork ribs are the best I've ever tasted - wish we had eaten in the bar more than once! Definitely worth the extra euros for a balcony room, such a nice view in the morning. Would definitely visit again.

We loved our stay at this hotel. Rooms are on the small side, but had very cool design and it was really all of the space you need. There's a cute little tapas bar at the base of the hotel with a great selection of wine and local tapas. Lovely area ideally located close to a number of outdoor cafes...

AMAZING location. Near the metro, great bars and restaurants all around. The street is known for it's food. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Great bar/restaurant. I appreciated the charm of the street mixed with the modern design of the hotel. My friend booked the hotel so I cannot comment on price but I would recommend this hotel!

Staying in La Latina

Neighbourhood Profile
La Latina
La Latina is a charming neighbourhood with two unique personalities. At first glance, it’s distinctly old-world, with narrow streets weaving a maze among charming stone buildings in sunny, bright colors like yellow and pink. The other side of La Latina is characterized by a young population and a bohemian vibe, as evidenced by a dynamic and evolving selection of new bars, shops, coworking spaces, and other businesses popping up in the area. In the northern part of the neighbourhood, the Cava Alta and Cava Baja streets constitute the tapas center of Madrid, where each age-old restaurant serves up distinctive specialties like huevos rotos and patatas bravas. Locals have come here for generations to while away hours over drinks and tapas with friends. On Sundays and public holidays, the streets to the south of La Latina metro station transform into a giant open-air market full of locals sifting through tent after tent of art, apparel, and antiques. Any day of the week, the intriguing blend of the traditional and the hip make the streets of La Latina worth exploring.
