The location and price are excellent. The rooms are clean and simple. The beds are cozy. There is no 'buzzer' or other device to call for assistance from the front desk and I had to call for the owner in Spanish several times until the male owner apparently rolled out of bed to answer (at 10am mind you). I asked...

if you are looking for a family hotel in the heart of Madrid for a short stay and affordable, this is a good place, clean, nothing out of this world but has all you need, location, private bathroom, wifi, so I think is a good place and you can walk everywhere.

This is not the most gorgeous or technologically advanced hostel in the world. The wifi was spotty, walls were thin, and the outlets far from the bed. But when it comes to what matters, Hostal Sotileza has it all. I was stranded in Madrid for a night after missing the last train. I was in the center of the city,...

The cost of this hostel was great for what it offered. I was specifically looking for a family run pension style accommodation (have had much success with these in Spain) and that is exactly what this is. Pros: clean, comfortable bed, family running the 24 hour reception gives peace of mind for security, elevator, 2 minute walk to Sol, easy...

The location of this hotel is perfect for anyone doing a shopping trip to Madrid. Conveniently located within a few minutes walk of Sol and Opera tube stations. Just 10 mins walk to Plaza Major. Plenty of great tapas bars and cafes nearby. This is a great hotel if you plan to be independent and do your own thing. Not...

So as we entered at 11 ish pm after a long train journey, I was honestly shocked. Than we have climbed up to the floor where the hostel is situated and a very kind, welcoming man shoowed us our twin room. The room was spotless, comfortable. The tiny bathroom was very clean , Pricewise was ok as this hostel is...

The location is just amazing! 2 metro stops are really near, supermarket is also close. The main street is pedestrian, so no car noise here, but at night there a looooot of people here. The room was pretty big (tripple room), had a shower, table, chairs, wardrobe, glasses. Bathroom is kinda small, but have everything you need - toilet and...

At 40 euros a night for a twin room superb value right bang in the centre of Madrid, five minutes from everywhere. Rooms were fine, even had little sachets of shampoo, shower dripped a bit, but hey that happens in 400 euro hotels. A bit upset that they wouldn't let my eight year old son go to his room when...
