This is a great place to stay. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The room we selected was exactly the way it was showing online. Very safe location and you are only a few steps away from the Main Street. Rodriguez/Nj, USA

This hotel is perfect for location. Easy walking distance to all the main areas. The staff were all very helpful, polite and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. It was very clean and the rooms comfortable. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Definitely recommended.

This hotel is perfect for people who prefer to be where the action is. Located steps away from a busy intersection of Gran Via, shopping, restaurants, and nightlife are within 10-15 minutes in any direction. Our room had a very small balcony, which afforded us a street view, and was great for people watching. If you are the type who...

The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. My room was small, but clean with a large window that looked out onto the street. It is an excellent location, just off the Gran Via, but of course this means that it is busy and quite noisy outside all night. With the window closed, the room was very quiet. The bed...

This place wasn't quite as nice as the reservation website implied to us. But its a civil, quiet place in a rushing Urban center. After being in rural Spain for a week, the mad rushing shower of water was fabulous in the bathroom. Easy close by parking for those with rental cars. Good hotel, not awesome.

This hotel is well situated to the airport express (plaza Cibebes) and great eating in Chueca, however, most rooms face a street that never sleeps! Even at 7 am there are partiers. The staff and cleanliness cannot be faulted.

Staying in Chueca

Neighbourhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
