Worked in the travel business for many years we still do'nt understand how hotels get their star classification in Spain. Eurostars Zarzuela Park does not offer the service nor the facilities you should expect in a 4 star hotel. But you cannot expect 4 star amenities for 75 € per night inclusive breakfast. For most other 4-star hotels in Madrid you pay twice or three times that price. Small but clean room, small bathroom with tube-shower combi, open private parking facilities, no bar only softdrinks out of the fridge. First evening we choosed to have dinner in the restaurant and paid only 15 € for a correct meal and another 15 € for a good bottle of white wine and the maroccan waiter was very friendly. In summer you can enjoy the large swimming pool . From the hotel you can take bus/metro to Madrid center but we prefer a taxi that took us in about 15 minutes to Plaza Mayor for about 16 €. This is not a "normal" 4 star hotel but for the price you are paying this is a perfect deal for your Madrid citytrip.

We got the room very really in the day - The breakfast is really nice with a very large choice. The mattress was firm enough for 2. The hotel was very quiet. We would advise to get access to the terrace at breakfast time.

Very dissatisfied with our stay in Eurostars Zarzuela Madrid. We booked a triple room for 3 adults. When we arrive in our room, there were 2 single bed for adults and one extra bed much smaller and less comfortable (only fit for a child). This is not what we payed for and what we had was not a triple room. Moreover, we couldn't sleep the first nights, our room was located near the car of laundry that made a lot of noise every day at 5am. The minibar of the room wasn't working, the drinks were warm, therefore the minibar was totally useless. The reception never agreed to change it, saying that it was normal. Also the hotel wanted to rip off its own clients : they charged 1€ per towel for the swimming pool every day, never telling us it was charged (no written mention in the reservation, at the reception or in the room). Plus, the hotel didn't apply this fee for every clients. Be careful with this hotel. Overall, staff were quite unpleasant and judgmental with us. Breakfast with products of poor quality.

I found all of the staff to be very professional, friendly and helpful at all times of the day or night and nothing was a bother or a problem to them as they were all very accommodating indeed. Special mention to Carra at reception who was a lovely lady in every sense of the word but as my mobile phone had been stolen on the same trip previously in Rome she was very helpful translating spanish, printing out journeys on google maps emailing you name it she was Ms Perfect followed in no particular order by Youness in the bar restaurant together with Beatrix and Jennifer. Unfortunately though as it was very hot one had ton make sure one had enough water as the bar/restaurant closed for 3.5 hrs each afternoon.

The AC smelled terrible when using the heating. We had to open the windows during the night, which resulted in both my wife and I catching a cold. On top of that breakfast was very poor, without skim milk. The scrambled eggs and bacon were way too raw. The waitress was unfriendly, lazy and when my wife and I complained about the skim milk she apparently told the receptionist that it was a misunderstanding and that there was indeed skim milk (perhaps in a hidden fridge?).
