My boyfriend and I had the most magical stay - our own little nook right in the centre of the city. Loved the apartment it was clean, lovely furniture, powerful shower and our balcony onto the street was great for people watching. There was a little noise at night sure, but it's all part of the buzz of this amazing...

Hello, and thank you for your review. Please note that you give your card number not only to Booking.com, our hotel, but also restaurants and shops. Credit card fraud happens everywhere - it´s enough that someone hacks a restaurants system. We don´t even store your card details. We get them directly from Booking.com´s extranet. Thank you.

I stayed at the Santa Ana apartments for 2 nights on Monday. Beautiful apartment, loads of room. The kitchen is large with more electrical a than my own kitchen. The bathroom was great, it comes with a power shower (with the jets of water from all angles) which was great. The only thing I would say is it is actually...

We knew Madrid would be more expensive than Seville and Granada, where we'd been previously but I'm glad we didn't have to stay more that four nights in this apartment. It was clean but could do with a little loving care. They claimed a patio which was actually locked off and inaccessiable. Pleasant reception staff. The location was very central...

Thank you! We are working on the ¨little loving care¨part I assure you. It´s a process. What is called a ¨patio¨in Spain is mostly a well, sometimes a little more than that. But that is very common, every building has a ¨patio¨for hanging out the washing mostly. It has a very practical purpose. Thank you for your feedback though! We´re...

The web designer of these apartments should win an award as he is clearly talented in the showing what is not true. The apartments look nothing like the actual rooms. The room are so basic I felt like I was in a prison, the wifi was not working and it was clearly not a room that would make anyone happy....

Absolutely loved my stay in Madrid . These apartments would have been perfect if the noise from the Square had'nt been so close other than that it was a cheap stay so I'm not really moaning about the apartment at all just the Square. Take ear plugs for when you sleep as you will need it. Good location not far...

This is ideally located - very basic but clean. Air con didn't work in bedroom and water tank dripped onto bathroom floor. Main problem is is the noise from all cafes, restaurants and the fact that it is across road from night club. Only managed 1.5hrs sleep because of voices, shouting etc -

Staying in Huertas

Neighbourhood Profile
Huertas
Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The neighbourhood is committed to celebrating its rich heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas receives a fair amount of spillover from the center — side streets around Plaza Santa Ana take on a foreign party atmosphere at night, and you always see young backpackers navigating the streets — but as you descend into the neighbourhood, everything becomes a little more cramped and slightly less refined, and takes on more of an underground feel. Live music is at the heart of Huertas: by night, its subdued bars are ideal for meeting friends, sipping cocktails, and chatting quietly while enjoying jazz or singer-songwriter performances.
