The apartment was just a bit bigger than a broom closet, Impossible to use the bathroom with the door closed. No storage space for clothes. Apart from the location, there is nothing positive to say about this place. Poor internet service - in fact, poor everything. I am surprised the authorities have given this a commercial licence.

the apartement was clean, the personal kind and easygoing. We were 5 girls in 2 rooms and it was just good with a little kitchen and a little bathroom. Not luxurious but it's a good cheap solution in the centre of Madrid

These apartments are in a very ancient building in the heart of the city. The rooms were small with little or no ventilation at all so sleeping was quite difficult due to the heat. Our kitchen and toilet were together in a same space separated from the bed by a wall and a door but without cealing, which allowed you... More

Staying in Malasana

Neighbourhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
