in the middle of the centre, clean, neat and good service. Close to best restaurants. Taxi costs from airport 30 euro. and I do not like that I have to put in 200 signs to get this send. Still some to go. Yes done!

Hotel really well situated in the town. Near a metro station, shopping streets, opera, puerta del sol, etc... Room was nice, just what we needed. No luxury but all comodities. The funny thing is the glass door for the bathroom, which is a bit see through.

My sister and I stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of December. The hotel staff are so pleasant and welcoming, breakfast was amazing and the lady in the breakfast room was pleasant and cheerful. I would highly recommend this hotel for its location and helpful and efficient staff. Thank you and I look forward to my next trip.

I would recommend this place who come to Madrid to spend their time outside the hotel. This one is good for having some rest and that's it. Chose it for its location-the very city center, everything is close

Great location and I requested for the balcony view. It is definitely noisy, but I forgot about it after a while and it was nice to see the bustle from my window. The rooms are simple and comfortable, but the location makes it really easy, be it to the airport or getting around when I was in Madrid.

Location is right smack in the centre of the shopping district, hence its noisy and crowded almost 24/7. Thankfully I took the advise from tripadvisor and requested a room with no view. It was early December, winter, and temperature was generally around 10-15 DegC but with high humidity. Hence it wasn't too cold. The room itself is so warm I...

Dear guest; Thank you for your reservation and for your review. Certainly, on December a lot of visitors come to downtown and we are located on a very busy place. Thank you for your understanding about that. Cool air conditioner is not working on Winter, only on Summer. So that, now we offer only heatting. We are glad to read...

I was welcomed by a friendly Laura at the frontdesk. My room was new and very comfortable with tasteful deco. The bathroom kit was great. Made in Spain as opposed to made in China in other establishments. I liked the idea of welcoming sweets. Lollipops in this case. The location couldn't get better. Located right next to the Real Madrid...

We stayed three weeks in this 6-story tourist hotel and loved it in spite of the street's noisy nightlife. (You might like to ask for a room off the street.) Puerta del Sol is a vibrant square in the heart of Madrid, with lots of shops, cafes, restaurants and the city's largest department store, "El Corte Ingles." There's a Metro...

The hotel staff were very friendly and attentive. The location is perfect. However, when we checked in, we were told that the elevator was broken and we had to use the service elevator to get to our room on the 6th floor. The service elevator was in the back and very small. When we got to our room, it was...

For those who are looking for a simple hotel but with great location - I highly recommend it. Yet, the rooms are VERY small - it is a classic 3 stars hotel It is not fit for families rather more to couples of friends.

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
