A very good hotel with a good relation between quality and price. Near the center, about 2km from Puerta de Alcalá, is very well situated with lots of nice restaurants nearby and some supermarkets. Kind personnel and good infrastructures... A experience to repeat!

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of April. Very good location (about 5 min walk to the metro station), alot of Cafes and Restaurants for breakfast and dinner are available near the hotel. The room was actually quite big, very modern and clean. Bathroom with walk-in shower. The beds were excellent, very comfortable for a good nights...

I went to Madrid for a weekend of rugby, a few friends and I although booked separately I was looking for the excitement that Madrid had to offer. The staff at were fantastic especially the bell boy, the ladies at the reception especially at night I had issues with keys (they seem to go missing) and they understanding that it's...

This was a 2 night stay in Madrid for a concert at the Wizink centre, the hotel is perfectly situated for this venue, just literally around the corner. Very large busy hotel and very clean. We had a large room with a terrace, which was definitely worth paying the extra for, very spacious and comfortable. Very good selection at breakfast,...

Major dissapointment is regarding staff attitude and Platinum customer treatment (absolute lack of it). It is the worst experience in this regards I can remember. When I arrived I was assigned the room. Clearly no one noticed I am a Platinum member. Only when I asked I got upgraded room, and then my card holder was replaced with the one...

Good afternoon Filip, I have just read your comment and I feel downright overwhelmed. For us the most important thing, what occupies the first place and what makes our work make sense, is our client. I would have loved to be able to personally receive you upon your arrival at the hotel, but it was not possible. I would also...

Stayed here with my 7month old baby, this was out first trip away. I was able to get hot water as and when for free in order to be able to prepare baby bottles. On arrival baby cot was already in room. Hotel was clean, room service was very prompt, however there was an incident where my partner ordered room...

So much cheaper than other similar quality hotels in the area. Walking distance to attractions. Rooms are simple, but very comfortable and quiet. Hot shower. Lovely bed. Staff are pleasant. Breakfast was excellent. What more could you ask for?

I think best advantage of this hotel is its proximity to real madrid basketball venue. In addition, you can easily get to Airport, bus as station just 2 min distance. If you like shopping and enjoying nice spanish food, Salamanca district is very close. Hotel rooms are very nice and well decorated, staff is friendly and wifi was working properly....

I am writing this review reluctantly as the hotel was great, room was an executive suite with balcony, from the 4th to the 7th April. Everything was fine until first morning when there was drilling and banging above our room. This woke us up and continued each day for the 3days we were there. I complained and they said would...

Booked this for a business trip to Madrid. It was very convenient and short ride from the airport. The rooms are comfortable and the the highlight is breakfast before the long day. The Novotel puts on a huge variety. If you are vegetarian, you will have some choices here. The hotel staff is attentive and this is a plus point....

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
