I was at this wonderfull building just for five days with my wife and we had a great time, the service is trully cooperative and the hotel location is perfect, right in the centre of the city, but not in a noisy area.

This is a recommendable hotel smack at the heart of Chueca, which is a very lively area with loads of bars and restaurants that cater for both a gay and straight crowd, also centrally located to visit all the attractions in Madrid. Our room was spacious and with a huge bathroom, and the service was impeccable. A good 4-star option...

We were a bit shocked when we arrived at the hotel, because it was nothing like we imagined from the internet sites and the pictures we saw. It's a tiny understaffed hotel with one advantage only: it's location is IMPECCABLE. The rooms were okay but, again, nothing like we thought. There are no carpets on the floors and if you...

The hotel is in the middle of Chueca, a lively neighborhood on weekends. My room was large with two french balconies (one in the bedroom and the other in the bathroom) with doors that opened and allowed fresh air. Closing the doors seemed to muffle most of the expected city noise. Starbucks is across the street, and the Banco Nacional...

My husband and I have just returned from a weekend break in Madrid. The Hotel Lusso is ideally located close to many bars and restaurants and within easy walking distance of the main square. On arrival the receptionist was not helpful infact rude, which made us wonder what kind of hotel we had come to! Our room was located on...

I have read the mixed reviews about this hotel before and after having stayed here. I have to say that I stand well onto the side of loving it. Location was perfect for sightseeing and getting around. My room was clean, spacious and noise free (with the exception of the odd door slamming). The service was very good! They looked...

Gorgeous rooms. gorgeous views. Close to a metro station (Banco de Espana). The restaurant attached is wonderful, and a nearby restaurant restaurante el Jardin on Calle De La Reina is absolutely amazing.

Don't come here expecting any kind of service, help, or a smile. You won't get it. These people are all business. There isn't even a placard in the room telling you which number to dial reception. You'll just have to figure it out and they sure will be surprised you called. Bringing along your pooch? Don't expect any help there....

Stayed for 5 days and loved it. Great friendly service; location is unbeatable; around the block from Gran Via, yet away from the noise and hussle; close to reach everywhere. Room was spacious and clean and comfy with one of the largets bathrooms I've ever seen in Europe; and this is all in a single room.

We stayed at the Lusso Infantes in May of 2009 for 3 nights after arriving in Madrid as part of a 2 week trip. The positives of this hotel: clean, with a very nice & modern bathroom. It's fairly central, as we were able to walk most places, though it is located in a narrow alleyway. The main downside to...

Staying in Chueca

Neighbourhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.

“Every was great. The only thing is the first two days the AC was not turned on due to the transition from cold weather to hot but we had the balcony door opened and it was cold. The only problem is the noise you get from the street. LIke I said this was the first 2 days after that it was all good. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be back.”
