What I liked the most about this hotel was the location. A minute's walk away from the Gran Via, without being directrly on it thereby avoiding all of the street noise. Chueca itself is a nice area, as others have said nice selection of restaurants in the immediate surroundings. Metro is just a few minutes walk away too. The rooms...

Stayed for 3 night's with a group of mate's and found the hotel to be more than adequate. 8 twin room's was not a problem for them and any other request's we had were dealt with promptly with no fuss. Room's were spotless and very spacious considering it's a small hotel. A big thank you to Juan Carlos for all...

The Lusso is just a few yards away from Gran Via, yet you will feel like if you were in a different world, an oasis of peace. Walking through Calle Infantas will get you to Chueca, which is one of the Madrid neighbourhoods which has it all: nice small shops, taverns, bars, night clubs, cosy coffeeshops, and restaurants to die...

Hotel Lusso Infantas is a terrific hotel. It's in a great location - at the edge of the Chueca area, offering easy access to the Metro, and within walking distance to major sites like the Prado - with large clean rooms, very helpful front desk staff and good rates. What's not to like?!?

Excellent staff, extremely helpful. Clean and pleasant room. 2 minutes walk from Madrid's excellent Metro and Gran Via, but you can easily walk to Prado, Thyssen, and Naval Museum. If you are on room only and don't fancy spending a lot on the hotel's own breakfast, there is an excellent cerviceria - "Rocafria" a couple of minutes away on the...

Stayed for one night on the company's choice hotel, the area is great and well comunicated. The staff were helpful. The room was quite spacious. The bathroom felt clean. I tried to stop the airing inside the room at night time with no luck so I slept with the window open (it was the only way I figured for the...

This is a recommendable hotel smack at the heart of Chueca, which is a very lively area with loads of bars and restaurants that cater for both a gay and straight crowd, also centrally located to visit all the attractions in Madrid. Our room was spacious and with a huge bathroom, and the service was impeccable. A good 4-star option...

We were a bit shocked when we arrived at the hotel, because it was nothing like we imagined from the internet sites and the pictures we saw. It's a tiny understaffed hotel with one advantage only: it's location is IMPECCABLE. The rooms were okay but, again, nothing like we thought. There are no carpets on the floors and if you...

The hotel is in the middle of Chueca, a lively neighborhood on weekends. My room was large with two french balconies (one in the bedroom and the other in the bathroom) with doors that opened and allowed fresh air. Closing the doors seemed to muffle most of the expected city noise. Starbucks is across the street, and the Banco Nacional...

Staying in Chueca

Neighbourhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
