I had a good experience in this ibis. I stayed for one night, the personnel was very friendly, the room was clean, with a nice bathroom and the space is great for one (enough for two for a short term). I took the all-you-can-eat breakfast, was good, with great variety and local ingredients. I recommend it,

The hotel is so well positioned and in a great local area, close to the Metro. The room was small but good value. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were lots of good non touristy restaurants close by.

The place is very strategic as it is near to different interesting places to see even by strolling. Would have been nice though to have at least a traditional breakfast be offered as part of basic room packages.

This is not a conventional Ibis, the staff was so wonderful with me, my wife and my little baby, we will never forget. It was not just one or two special situations, but a whole lot of them. I don`t get this attention in every 5 star hotel I stayed in. The best thing I did in Madrid was to...

The hotel is cute. It's an Ibis, so if you're familiar with the brand you know exactly what you're getting. The staff are sweet and helpful and the rooms are as basic as you can get. We Ibis fans already know all of that. The best part of this hotel is the neighborhood. Malasana is north of the center. One...

Excellent location near Bilbao Metro and only a ten minute walk to the heart of the Puerta del Sol. Near the hotel are pinxto bars and a sidreria with excellent tortilla. The hotel staff were friendly. I would happily stay there again on my next trip to Madrid.

Staying in Malasana

Neighbourhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
