Great location, just a few steps from a subway station. Located in an area surrounded by restaurants and bars. Take a ten minute walk and you reach Plaza del Sol. Besides that, remember it is an ibis. Did not have any meals, so my comment does not consider hotel's restaurant. The only problem I had was in my last day....

The reason I choose the hotel was it near the metro and it was among the more reusable priced hotel in the centre of Madrid. The neighbourhood can be classified as funky/ hippy and at bit far from the touristy area. The hotel entrance/reception is different , it is on the first floor. the room are the same ibis standard...

In town on business I was booked into the Ibis. The title Centro is a little misleading as it is not in the centre, or the Centro area but in Malsana, however the walk through bustling streets gave a real sense of the heart of the city was welcome at the start and end of long days of meetings. The...

I had a good experience in this ibis. I stayed for one night, the personnel was very friendly, the room was clean, with a nice bathroom and the space is great for one (enough for two for a short term). I took the all-you-can-eat breakfast, was good, with great variety and local ingredients. I recommend it,

The hotel is so well positioned and in a great local area, close to the Metro. The room was small but good value. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were lots of good non touristy restaurants close by.

Staying in Malasana

Neighbourhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighbourhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
