We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights at the end of March 2007. Our whole experience of this hotel was positive. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was very modern and clean. The breakfast was of high quality with plenty of choice. However, once something was finished it tended not to be replenished - so you might...

The hotel has nice rooms and it is located close to The Prado Museum, the park and other tourist attractions. We booked this hotel becaouse of it's good ratings, we where however worried about some remarks to bad service. Now that I've stayed for 3 nights at Husa Paseo del Arte, I can confirm that the service is rock buttom!...

This is a great hotel in an ideal location. It's 2 mins from Rene Sofia, 5 mins from the Prado. The rooms are large, clean and confortable. The hotel is stylish and has a good bar. The breakfast is fantastic and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Really if you are staying in Madrid you would be hard pushed...

This is an absolutely perfect hotel. Brilliant location, modern interior and friendly staff. In fact I thought it was more like a 5 star than a 4 star. I could not fault the room at all, and I am pretty good at nit picking. The beds and pillows were the best we have slept on in a hotel ever. Breakfast...

The bottom line is that this is good hotel, but the staff could be friendlier and more professional. The receptionists were just one degree away from sheer rudeness. The botched up several little things (misinformation; incompetence etc) and it is after all the little things that turn a mediocre stay into a great stay. The Paseo Del Arte, although new...

This hotel is part of a chain of Husa hotels in Spain. There are a number of 4 and 5 star hotels. This was a 4 star hotel. But as they were part of a chain of hotels I found them very professional and hospitable. It is located very conveniently near most attractions in Madrid. 3 museums (Prado, Thyssen and...

The hotel is quite new, has nice design. and good location. There is little information in the room. I.e. how to contact room service. The restaurant has an interesting menu, but it works out quite bad. Soups where cold, main course not hot either, meats not cooked like we wished. Wine is poured in before having a taste! We did'nt...

Staying in Paseo del Prado

Neighbourhood Profile
Paseo del Prado
The area around the elegant Paseo del Prado boulevard is much-visited by both locals and tourists. The world-famous Prado, the Reina Sofia, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museums form a triangle of art and culture that spans this grand and beautiful avenue. On weekdays, the Prado Museum opens its doors for free after-work hours, drawing a diverse and excited queue of art lovers that wraps around the block. Palacio de Cibeles and Círculo de Bellas Artes cultural centers are other artsy hangouts to check out, with rooftop bars that provide impressive views of the city. While the Paseo del Prado and its roundabouts form a busy throughway in Madrid, a broad green pedestrian park in the middle is a calm and gorgeous place for a relaxing stroll. Just east of the museums, the Retiro Park is always a confluence of activity as families and friends of all ages take to the pretty paths and lawns to stretch their legs or to have a picnic.
