Very well situated in city centre with friendly staff. Rooms clean and reasonably priced for the size. Metro to airport. Also I would recommend restaurant Vivares close by. Good ambience with friendly staff and good food.

Stayed here a few years ago, it was my first time ever visiting Spain & I don't think I could have landed in a better spot. This hostel is family owned & the son was the receptionist, very nice, helpful and friendly. Room was TINY but clean & I felt safe there ( I was traveling alone). Location was amazing...

truly a case of mistaken identity!!!!!! seemed just fine on the net but suited only for 18 somethings and people who are deaf. The rooms are the size of a broom closet , the bath even smaller.... claustrophobic! the noise from the street is deafening and the sleeping toatally a wipeout. Although the area is soo central and convenient ......

I went to a Madrid only for two days 2011, a friend suggested this hotel and it was a reasonable price. The staff was very friendly, the location was amazing so close to all public transportation you might need, very clean with a very cozy terrace that you will be able to enjoy the sun with a cup of coffee....

Great location with clean rooms. I'd recommend booking a triple if there are 2 of you because friends had a very small twin room. Our room was bigger and a lot nicer - it was booked as a twin but had 3 beds.

Small hotel in the cosy Chueca quartier in the middle of Madrid, within walking distance from most museums, metro stations, buses etc. Arriving at one in the morning was not a problem as there is someone at the reception desk 24/7. Loved the little terrasse at the reception with a view over Madrids rooftops. Very friendly and helpful staff, the...

Staying in Chueca

Neighbourhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
