This property is located just outside the town, convenient to the highway, but sequestered from it by trees. The grounds are like a park or garden. The architecture of the building is unique and attractive, as is the interior, with nice woodwork. The host is very warm and friendly and intelligent, always a pleasure to chat with. The rooms are...

I went to Jamaica from England on October 5th 2015. My accommodation was already secure. However, my late arrival to Mandeville meant I didn't want to disturb my willing hosts. Searching for a hotel in the vicinity of Kariba I stumbled upon this quaint Guest House. Having driven up the drive way and knocked on the door, and about three...

The owner of Kariba Kariba in Mandeville, Derek, was incredibly helpful to us. He found us a garage to deal with a rental car problem, he found a guide for birdwatching in the Cockpit country of Jamaica as well as nearby Mandeville. He has another large property nearby that he has developed as a park- lots of beautiful plantings and...

We decided to stay at this guest house on the basis of previous reviews and to see a bit of the real Jamaica. When we arrived we were met by a very courteous man. The lobby was beautifully furnished and the place seemed relaxed at first. We asked if we could order cold drinks for our driver as he did...
