Great view. Rooms typically European small but ours was built around huge rocks - lots of steps everywhere including our room. Several steps to get to bathroom and several more to go out onto the balcony- so worth it. Our American hairdryers blew the electric. Short walk to town center and dock. We walked along with several donkeys who were... More

This is a perfect place to be in Amafi. My wife and I had a room with a small lovely balcony with a fantastic. view. The most wonderful surprise, once you enter the hotel, is the cloister: a real perfect cloister from the middle ages where you can sit, read and relax. The service is good and the people extremely... Absolutely enjoyed our stay at unique hotel for 4 nights. Our room with the balcony overlooking the town Amalfi was superb. Location on top of the cliff is Amazing. Walkable to town, excellent and very helpful staff. Breakfast was always nice and the serving staff was very nice and was served on the balcony with the view. This hotel has... More

We spent three nights in this hotel. Our room was 'quirky' in that it was built into the cliff wall and boasted a short staircase that led up the rockwall to a 'terrace'. The hotel uses the term 'terrace' but this was in reality a small balcony about two metres square with a table and two chairs. The balcony did... More

the building and the hotel have lots of history. It is built on an old convent, with a cloisters. The decorations are traditional for the Sorrentine Peninsula - old ceramic tiles on the floor and bathroom walls for example, and all very charming. The view from the terrace is spectacular.

We stayed there as part of a U.S. tour group. The hotel is interesting and pretty in some ways but is average in terms of "creature comforts.". By that i mean lame shower, slow draining sinks and overnight staff. We were left very early in the morning but they didn't have a porter to take our bags downstairs. That was... More

We stayed at this hotel for seven nights bed and breakfast having read reviews on most 4 and 5 star hotels in the area - and we loved it. Old school, no mod-cons and all the better for it, traditional service and cool large rooms with beautiful views out across Amalfi

We stayed 3 nights while hiking in the area. Our first room was small with a shower and on our 3rd night we switched rooms to a one with a bath. Both had lovely views of the coast and were very pretty. The breakfast is very nice. Because this was converted from a convent, there are hallways and alcoves -... More

The hotel is beautiful and unique in its own regard, but what really separates it from the competition is its location and direct sea access. The hotel restaurant across the street was delicious and provided the most amazing views at night. While the hotels location provides the perfect amount of seclusion and privacy, you are only a 5 minutes walk... More

We stayed here for 4 nights as part of our guided tour of Italy. The hotel was once a convent and was charming and quaint albeit a challenge to navigate due to it's architecture. Being that it was originally built as a convent the rooms were all different. Our room was rather small but had it's own terrace overlooking the... More
