This hotel has the biggest rooms in size that I have yet seen in Europe. They even have two bathrooms - a shower and a bath.
The room and linen were clean. The windows opened upto a great vista of the ocean and the marine...More
Depending on your room, you either get a nice view of the sea, or an ugly view of rooftops. The hotel is not too far from downtown. Rooms are a bit worn out, WiFi is unreliable, and the breakfast is so-so.
Overall OK, not terrible,...More
The Hotel is beautiful from outside and it has a gorgeous view of the gulf of Salerno. Unfortunately, it is horrible, decadent and dirty inside.
The revolving door at the entrance has been broken for a long time and it has not been fixed yet....More

I can't help you with the train station as I didn't use it. I can tell you though that there are two stations for the ferries. The one is only a 5-minute walk from the hotel and it is where the boats for Amalfi and Positano dock. The other is literally at the other side of the town, even further than the historical center. It is not a distance that I would feel comfortable walking if I had a boat to catch; though I did it as a walk one evening. From there you take the ferry for Capri. I think though that the taxi fare is around 5 euro for that distance; if that helps.
