We had two nights in Sorrento in late August. Positano and Capri are so expensive that Sorrento was really used as a pause on the budget. But we really loved this city! The views to the Gulf of Naples in Sorrento are spectacular.
We visited Sorrento in September, 2017. This hotel is great - as long as you know what you're getting into: no frills room, amazing location and a continental European style breakfast buffet.

Let's start with the good. The hotel is family run and the family is very accommodating. There's a little feel of Faulty Towers about the whole show although better run.
